It is indeed, was surprised at the price I managed to get it as had put a much higher bid expecting the last minute showdown.
They don't show up very often.

That really is quite striking, especially the bracelet. Lovely condition too, well done on tracking it down. I've been a big fan of Giugiario since I was a teenager and became interested in design, particularly car design. Guigiario and Zagato where the two names that made the heart beat faster when the latest concept cars or collaborations were announced.

Yeah I think I did very well. There was a bracelet option but probably hard to come by now as these were released in the early 90's. The crown blends slightly better in the 500 model which has the crown gaurds, that was the one I really wanted but I haven't seen a nice example(where the tritium has aged well like this one) of those in years and even then the asking prices are usually over double what I got this one for.
New arrival for me, possibly the first in the U.K. (first Ive seen referenced anyway) and second in Europe.
Its the next in the US only seasons watches, called S?k? for the first frosts of the season, they are inspired by a Kyoto bamboo forest, a light model (SBGA427) and a shadow model (SBGA429 - this one).
Ive pondered one for a short while, they were released earlier this year and it went up my list straight away as a smaller (39mm) steel Spring Drive, a technology Ive always wanted to own. Cost of importing put me off, but I just came to the conclusion it made sense, especially now Ive visited the very Kyoto bamboo forest, that inspires the watch.

This arrived yesterday, I had one before and sold it with almost instant regret. Six months later I go after another and as theyve been discontinued it was actually pretty hard to get one. Went via Jomashop, took weeks to arrive from the US (I ordered the silver dial version from Creation and it was with me in 5 days). Anyway boring back story over with, 90 quid well spent Id say.

A satisfying end to the 3 month WTB hunt! The only downside is that it makes a large part of my collection seem poorly made...

CWC arrived to replace one that stopped a couple of hours out of the box.
Problem is that it's meant to be blasted, not brushed/polished, so back it goes
Hopefully 3rd time lucky

Thanks to all for the comments, really pleased with it as it has vintage vibes but not full on vintage, if that makes sense.
Its a watch only and i haven't had the bracelet off to check the serial, but the dealer put it late 90s. I suspect its not been worn much and sat in a drawer as the case is sharp and i don't think polished. I heard trit ages (colours) more when in the dark and not sun, which might explain the colouring.
Overall pleased : )
Got the call from the local ad today so its into Cambridge tomorrow for a look at a SD.
18 months on the list so it was a nice surprise to get a call from them
Excited !!!
Picked up this morning for the post office.
Wears really well given the hefty proportions, and it's nice and light due to the resin shroud. Otherwise I couldn't wear something this chunky for long.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a7630cd56c.jpg
Picked this up today from my AD .
Happy.
Picked this up a week ago, Ive had a few 4 and 5 digit sports Rolex and early signs are that this probably wears the best yet for me.

Yea I love it. Probably a bit excessive but I have the same model with the polished case and stainless steel bracelet plus the Black version (Blasted) like this one. I just love the look although the ss version I will move on at some point. Sent from my SM-N960F using TZ-UK mobile app
So I picked up my new sea-dweller yesterday from my AD. ( pics if I knew how to !!! )
Thats a full set for me now with gmt , sub, SD and DSSD all snuggled away in the safe.
And its just as I wanted in size . So much more suited to my wrist the the DSSD.
