Late night watch browsing as usual and came across new release from Seiko. Not a diver. Supposedly for land activities. What’s people’s thoughts?

It's lazy and unnecessary with the Alpinist.

Not sure what it adds to their lineup, I accept that the Alpinista models might not suit everyone’s tastes but Seiko should just design a new field watch, rather than adapting a dive watch.

I’d like to see a land master light, much like the MM200 is to the MM300

Not my cup of tea but if Seiko decide to use this smaller case for a new smaller Seiko turtle I am in.

I have not seen a compass bevel before. Does it actually do anything? How does it work? Could I use it to navigate the wilderness?
