Love this film!

I watched Nobody earlier without reading the posts on here and without seeing the trailer.
I enjoyed it and for me it is better than John Wick which I thought was a little too far fetched.
The trailer for 'Nobody' makes me think it is very similar to 'The Accountant' with Ben Affleck, rather than John Wick. Is this the case?
Godzilla vs. Kong, 2 hours of brainless CGIs, but really enjoyed it :)
I thought it was pretty good too.
I'd go further and say it is excellent. Empire Magazine gave it 5stars! (But I think most critics suffer intra-anal-disappearance-syndrome)
I'm a massive fan of Groundhog Day, and as such this could only disappoint, but it's totally fresh and brilliant. Such great acting by Andy Samberg, proving the best comedy actors can really only show their skills fully when doing a straight-ish role. The story is hilarious and tormenting and it will be one I'll watch again.
I'd give it 5stars too.
Prime Video only.
In fact watching that trailer again, Andy Samberg is fuckin brilliant. A comedy god
I'm watching it again tonight, followed by Groundhog Day tomorrow, outa respect
Also rewatched Palm Springs the other night, still superb! One of the funnies movies I have seen for a long time.

Watched “Run” on Netflix last night. Reminded us of Misery. Thought it was a great film.
Just finished watching Love and Monsters on Netflix.
Not too shabby at all, very easy viewing. Recommended to pass a couple of hours away.
Plus they used The The This is the day in it somewhere along the line [emoji106]

Watched ‘Nobody’ over the weekend with the guy from Better Call Saul/Breaking Bad. Cross between John Wick and Hime Alone. A bit more realistic than JW (only a bit though) and absolutely superb fun. If you like the JW type movies this will be right up your alley and for me was much better.

The Hunt was a good watch, violent black comedy, with a very dry female lead.
In a similar vain Ready Or Not is also escapist horror/thriller fun.
At the other end of the entertainment spectrum I found Sound of Metal to be excellent as others have said, was not sure after the first 20/30 mins but the it settled in and the performances were superb.
The Blue Brothers. I've seen parts of this film many times over the years but never sat down and watched it end to end. I rectified that on Sunday. Watched it with the family and we all loved. I wonder why it took me so long to watch it.
Just watched Karakter (1997) (again).
Very well done. Great script.
Highly recommended.
Fighting With My Family was good. A Rocky-meets-Baywatch true life drama, featuring the tanned beauties of Norwich set against the gritty kitchen-sink drama of Florida.

Nothing unexpected, no big budget, but a good cast and well directed and scripted by Stephen Merchant.
^ I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
Rewatched The Game, very good!

Watched 'Sorry To Bother You' on Netflix last night. Has a Black Mirror feel about it and is worth a watch. Be quick though it's only on Netflix until 14th May.
Spacewalker - on netflix or prime(can't remember which!)
the first Russian space walk. Brilliant drama, and really enjoyable contrast to all the Apollo films we're familiar with, - you have to be in the right mood, for subtitles though!
Watched Palm Springs on Saturday night, thought it was ok, certainly not one of the funniest comedies.
Would recommend Jexi on Amazon though, we thought it was very funny but then we put it on knowing nothing about it other than the trailer so didn't have high expectations. In short it's Siri gone rogue.
Liked Love and Monsters.
I watched this tonight ...

Promising young woman on sky movies was ok, plot holes a plenty and a bit far fetched but good
The Professor and the Madman is pretty good, watched that last night.
Just watched a South African film, I Am All Girls- about child trafficking, quite hard hitting

If you are an "Action Movie" kind of guy, you're not going to want to miss Army of the Dead!

The new invisible man....very sleeping with the enemy but more sinister.
Page Eight on Netflix. I think I missed it when it was first shown as I was living in the US. Great performances from Bill Nighy, Rachel Weisz and Michael Gambon and others. I struggled with the overt politics but managed to reconcile my feeling with what amounts to a fantastic spy drama. I'm really happy there are two sequels.
Circle on Netflix. Sci Fi, 50 people are trapped in a room and one has to be killed every 2 minutes by being voted for by the rest.
Worth an hour and a half of your time.
I watched Land with Robin Penn Wright this week - enjoyed it more than I thought I would - worth a watch and some great scenery
The Woman in the window, is a great watch if you like Hitchcock....very much like Rear View Mirror if you remember that?
Enjoyed Black Sea.
Nice tense submarine film.

Watched 'Killing Escobar' on the iPlayer this evening.
Highly recommended tale of a bunch of mercenaries attempt to kill old Pablo.
Recruited by the rival Cali cartel to eliminate their competition, it's quite a story.
Wanted, was good fun
Oxygene
Tidy little sci-fi mystery with the lush Mélanie Laurent; prob best avoided if you’re claustrophobic :shame:
On Netflix
Watched this the other night, don't know how I missed it as quite few years old now but a cracking film.
