I just ordered a new CWC G10 quartz from CWC via cwcwatch.com. The prices are the same as from Silvermans BUT cwcwatch.com doesn't charge for standard shipping so it's £3.99 cheaper than from Silvermans. Just wanted to mention it if anyone is about to buy one because it's not immediately obvious that standard shipping is free from CWC direct.

On the left an unissued example, bought after I joined here looking for advice on buying this type of watch to use for work, having decided to retire my Datejust from firefighting duties. I subsequently bought the two issued examples as the bug bit, a Precista 6BB from 1984 (RAF issue one of 1600 made that year only) and the W10 from 1983.

Case numbers on the back are: W10/6645-99 5415317 6219/17 if that means anything to anyone. Presume the /17 refers to the year of manufacture?

Many thanks. So mine is UK Army produced in 2017. I'm amazed at how quiet it is. The tick of the seconds hand is silent which I guess is a boon for a soldier. Time keeping is 100% smack on against my 5610 over 12 hours.Quote:
