I’m really enjoying the series. I must say I was disappointed by Riker’s actions - he should have been far more supportive to his old Captain. Let’s hope Worf rejoins the party!

Didn’t they do a study which found that spoiling didn’t actually spoil and actually enhanced the overall watching experience and made you pick up things that you’d normally have missed?
I actually just checked Prime but nothing yet :(
3 episodes in and not one ewok or sniff of a wookie. Disappointed [emoji16]

Love this show:eagerness:
Just watched it, certainly picking up the pace, can't wait till next week.
Interesting that Ríos used to be on a star ship with Mike Pence for captain.
Very slowly picking up the pace, in fact boring in parts.
I can forgive the odd f bomb here and there, even from an admiral at a push.
Now that was a superb episode, welcome back JL
Ok soI appreciate the low budgetness of picard, it's very trekkie.
But ah... I dunno, you just can't beat the orville.
I'm watching all the ST movies again, they are further ahead than the expanse and actually more scientifically accurate when it comes to zero g. And that was what, 40 years ago?
Anyway, picard makes me sleep, I am watching episodes two to three times and I fail to understand most of the plot.
In fact, this posts reminds me I have to watch episode 8 again, so much for the excitement.
I feel there is a lot I am missing...

It started a little slowly but I'm really enjoying now.
Eye spy with my little eye..
Amazon, Episode 9, exactly 01:25.
Are we doing spoilers? I have a question that would count as one.
[Spoiler]
Now that his physical body is gone, is Picard still a little bit Locutus, or is that also gone?

Excellent season finale.
I look forward to season 2, whenever that is.
I've been hoarding the 2nd half of the season. I cannot wait to binge this weekend :eagerness:
Just watched the last two together. Damn, that was good.
Superb finish to the season. Quite a touching finale, and thoroughly looking forward to the next season.
Great work Sir Patrick 👍
I really enjoyed the whole series.
Yes, an excellent watch.
Looking forward to series 2
Although I enjoyed the series overall I thought the finish was very poor indeed. The ridiculous space fleet face-off and Ryker, utterly absurd.
Not a Next Gen fan (I stopped watching after Shatner) but I thought I’d give this a look and ended up enjoying it far more than I expected to. I could tell that there were a huge amount of Easter Eggs for the true fans (and had to read up a little about the Borg) but it didn’t spoil my enjoyment. Recommended.
Hoo boy.. that ending absolutely destroyed me. I have sat through this series with increasing frustration at how it simply wasn’t going to be the show I hoped it would be. The cameos from old Next Generation (and Voyager) characters got me through to the end but I don’t think I was quite prepared for THAT scene.. I guess growing up watching and loving Next Generation I have a deeper attachment to those characters than I realised. The musical accompaniment was inspired and beautifully executed as well. Combined with having the hardest 12 months of my life and it taking quite an emotional toll on me, it all conspired to result in tears literally pouring down my face. Absolutely crazy. Not much on TV or in movies does that to me :-)
So even though the show was a huge let down for me, and I agree the standoff and appearance of Riker was totally confusing and badly executed.. but the creators get a pass for managing to do that to me and giving one of my favourite characters such a poignant send off. Bravo.
Well, that was disappointing. Patrick Steward being Patrick Stewart (with the range of an door stop), pointless subplots with miraculous resolutions (like starting their ship which even the actors didn’t understand how it happened).
On the upside it was good to see 7 of 9 again. The years have been kind to her.
Personally I preferred The Mandelorian.
Yep - I was disappointed by the final episode. Cheesy and corny and a remarkably poor script. :(
I enjoyed the series as a whole but there were a couple of times in the middle I felt it lost it's charm and became a bit too 'modern'. Bits like Picard almost saying engage etc. Like above, the last episode was great and made me feel a bit sentimental. I watch STTNG a lot when I was young so grew up with Picard (I'm 34) and 7of9. She still looks great and nice to see she hasn't gone overboard with cosmetic work like so many older actresses seem to these days.
I'm looking forward to the next series.
Season 2 has just started on Prime for those interested.
