A very nice and fairly rare PRS-29A first generation from 2010 on the bay.

This was the only version with an acrylic crystal and fixed bars and is the most accurate representation of the original Smiths W10.
I contacted the seller last week to see if he would accept offers and he ignored me. My policy is if someone doesn’t respond I won’t do business with them, so he has lost any interest from me. A simple polite one liner saying thanks, but I’ll leave the auction to run would have been enough.
Anyway, a nice watch and fairly rare these days.

I like this line
Doesn't mention the £175.00 increase in price rather than buying directQuote:
Will be sent Special Delivery for peace of mind, half the cost of which is covered by myself.
I see Eddie has speeded up the process with which these get to e-bay. Bought 2 days ago, already delivered and on e-bay for £950.00 and the seller is happy to share the LE number with us all (057/500).

I’m sure all the regulars on here who failed to buy one for the 6th, 7th or 8th time will be right chuffed with this and can take comfort in the fact the system is working fine.
That IWC Portugieser he is selling has TZ-UK provenance: https://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.p...-Dial-IW358305
Not sure it was sold via TZ though, no H&V following the ad.
Funny how not understanding that a 36mm watch will be too small for ones gorilla wrists has become the stock excuse to ask the enormous premiums and at least the seller has had the decency to ask buyers not to lowball him. That will save a few on here a bit of time and effort.
Bless…
"Looks like the case has been polished at some point", well it tickled me.

That is so f**ing annoying.
The audacity .... Eddie must be really happy he sped up delivery so these poor people can make a quick buck (actually, more than double Eddie's price).Quote:

Another one who is using Eddie's pictures ($2,000 offer, must be record?):

It's sad that they think that people would believe that it's too small or too sparkle rather than theyve bought it to sell on at a profit. I'm pretty sure that Eddie takes returns on unworn watches?
Most people have to take a hit on watches they sell so if you happen to have one that can make you some money back I don't see anything wrong with selling for a profit.
I completely agree that the BS isn't needed though. Why make up an untrue story?
I'd personally feel uncomfortable offering a TF watch for sale on the forum for a big mark up but there are lots of other brands sold on here for big mark ups. Some might even be good value over market price but its interesting to see what people feel is OK and what isn't.

As others have said, it’s a piss take by scalpers, using excuses rather than be transparent about what they are doing.
I waited for a Navigator and a PRS-53 from sales corner, than line some wankers pocket on ebay.

No disagreement here, but there are several out there who only buy these pieces to resell immediately for a hefty profit. Like the person who got one last Sunday and had it on eBay on Tuesday.
It irks me that we are competing with these day-traders in the biweekly mad Sunday dash. Collectors lose, profiteers win.
Time for some lowballing offers from the TZ Massive then!?
Currently 4 Silver Jubilee watches listed on eBay (USA) for a measly USD1,600, USD2,000, USD1,900 and UKP1,000, respectively.
(sorry, unable to post / upload screenshot I took)
It didn't sell, so what's the best thing to do?
Relist it for more money. Glat.

Another seller looking to cash in. At least they don't have any flim-flam about is being too small. Etc https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...dbe2b96f67.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...8b9a03a91a.jpg

But they did also sell a standard Everest in Jan '22 for £500.

Currently the Jubilee Everests No. 245, 138 and 057 are waiting for their lucky new owners on eBay-UK.
And Oldboy121 even has two to go. They are plentiful, just not with real watch lovers.
By the way, your shortest way to get one is via this way.

I know there were only 50 sold (although that's because they weren't very popular and didn't sell), but I can't help thinking that £950+ (plus an extra 20% on entry to UK, plus courier's fees) is a bit steep for an ivory PRS-22.

Where production numbers are advertised in the resale, does Eddie tend to ‘block’ original purchaser?
Not on ebay, but on r/watchexchange on reddit: SMITHS NAVIGATOR PRS-48 for $750 USD

Not on ebay, but on r/watchexchange on reddit: SMITHS Everest white dial PRS-25 for $550 USD

"36mm dial is smaller than I’m used to wearing on my ~7.5 wrist. Catch and release, still in the original plastics and comes with everything. I didn’t even try it on, NIB condition." Disappointing to read, but not terribly priced for someone here in the US.
Is this the most expensive yet?
