My immediate thought on seeing this was that it really belongs on a battered yellow robin reliant van!!

Not a problem if the plate is presented in the legally prescribed manner. There’s huge abuse which no one seems inclined to challenge. Given the use of ANPR in both traffic and more serious crime detection, it’s odd.
The latest fad round here are “tinted” plates - unreadable from more than 10 yards away.
Saw ‘1 CPU’ on a BMW i8 as I was cycling through Oxshott on my way to work this morning
Brain fart
That plate has history:

A man called Rob Kenworthy had it on a modified 996 GT2, and partook in morally reprehensible behaviour on the Gumball Rallies around 2004-6.

I think he was something in Telecoms, anyhow he could afford the £40k entrance fee, and didn't appear to be a dick.
And then again the plate on this last year: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Porsche-9...p2047675.l2557 but obviously the Porsche and the plate diverged here.
Couple of years ago I was sitting at traffic lights with a 911 behind me revving his engine.
His number plate was T1 3VAH, pretty unremarkable unless viewed in a mirror.
Seen yesterday: RR 61LLS on an Evoque.
I chuckled.
The dazzle coating worked in their adverts where the camera was in line with the light and plate, but in real life with the camera offset to the plate - it had zero effect.
The plate on one of my bikes appears to be coated, but I am under no illusion that it is a “cloak of invisibility” :unconscious:
Spied up near my home in Fife...

Sad tw@t. Monopolies always are scared of a bit of competition.
Black cabs don't set their prices and they are being driven out of business by TfL and Uber.
How would you feel if you studied hard for years to do The Knowledge and invested in a very expensive and specific work vehicle only to be done over by someone who gets a Prius at staff discount from an Uber approved Toyota dealership and an iPhone running Google maps who hasn't even passed a basic English language test?
I don't catch Ubers or Black Cabs but I feel for them. Not a great situation and their competition is earning below the minimum wage. Soon Ubers will be autonomous and next year Tesla are launching an autonomous driven can service and then both sets of drivers will be unemployed.
Sorry for the rant! No vested interest just don't like Uber for the reasons outlined above.
The Knowledge is an anachronism.
How would I feel if my industry was being overtaken by GPS and internet technology?
I would see that the writing is on the wall and embrace the change. Not try to be some sort of Luddite and try to stop it.
Black cab drivers have had plenty of opportunities to be included on Uber. But they would rather cut their own noses off to spite their faces.
FFS why did I post that photo! C'mon fellas let's not drag what is a fun thread into an argument :eagerness:
In other news, saw a BMW i8 the other day:

Legally spaced as above and doesn't take much of a stab in the dark to guess the driver's name :eagerness:
WTF 1 is currently on a Ferrari LaFerrari...
Uber is a race to the bottom. While you the punter are getting a great deal, the driver is earning less than the other mini cabs and black cabs in the same borough for the same distance job.
Joe public is really not seeing the bigger picture here. What do you think will happen to Uber’s prices once they have forced out all the local competition?
Investors are not pumping billions into the company for nothing.
Here's some heartbreak for me.
This was always on a Mini Cooper S at my local train station and I always thought I'd catch them one day and make them an offer as it's my name.
Nope, they've just upgraded from the Mini to a Bentley. Won't accept my pennies now!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b7435b1097.jpg
My own, illegally spaced, plate. I said I’d keep it like this until I get a fine. The back plate is legal so 50% less likely to get stopped. It’s a bit of fun so what....

Joey Blow Job?
I see AJ1 sold for £243,000!! Belonged to Yorkshire police force since 1907.
She swears that her husband didn’t buy it for her!

Is this Jason Statham??

Seen ST1 back decades ago. It was Roger Moore who had a little hide away near where I live.
Think it sold back in the mid 2000`s for ALOT of money.
Spotted a black private hire Tesla in Edinburgh on Friday with the plate TAX1. That must be worth a bob or two.
I think the coolest plate I've seen was MUS 1C a few years back. Was on a serious Merc sports at the time, they were staying in a cabin near ours.
Lives near me and has been on an S-Class for some time

I Used to see Orv1l on a fairly regular basis......the green birds owner lived locally.
A few years ago I saw V1 NYL on a Lamborghini. Also many years before this saw MAG 1C driven by Paul Daniels.
This one made me smile.
