VW have just relieved me of £173 for an oil change on my Golf R which uses this....
Is this a special oil for cars fitted with stop/start? what makes it special?

Is that the Stop start ACEA C2 for PSA engine version? I bought a Citroen C3 with the 1.2 3cyl Puretech engine last month, it specifically needs 0w30 ACEA C2.Quote:

When i was working it was in a garage that sold/serviced Kia cars, at no time did our oil supplier or indeed Kia suggest a change of oil supply from a "normal" 0-30 low ash for use in workshop, this was the reason for my query about this oil, after all Motor manufacturers and oil companies are never slow about any chance about making more money, hence the question previously, asked the present staff ( my replacement) to ask Total next time he orders bulk oil.
Trouble is there's no recommendation as such, they are just selling stuff (including Magnatec, just not the Stop Start).Quote:
