Isle of White

My wife wants to visit Osborne House and we’re toying with a week there in August.

Any tips on location to stay, or accommodation?

Ideally looking for a house suitable for a family of four. We don’t mind driving around.

This close to August I’d be very surprised if you can find anything that is available, as the island gets booked up pretty much the year before.

Is this Isle of White anywhere near the Isle of Wight? (Autocorrect can be a bugger, can't it?!)

As an alternative, park in in Southsea then take the worlds only commercial hovercraft service to Ryde and get a bus or cab.

Or, if accommodation is diffulty on IOW, stay in the new forest and take your car over on the Lymington to Yarmouth car ferry for the day? 1/2 hour drive to Osborne house from Yarmouth.

As above,this close to August it might be a challenge finding decent accomodation.
