I’d happily pre-finance one of these. I’m not sure how many others would too.
I know it’s a different model to the norm here but it would (if successful during the fundraising stage) eliminate the risk of unsold stock.
Side benefit would be the elimination of frenzied and competitive purchasing (for these models) come 2pm on Sundays.
Having said all this, the pipeline of new projects looks to be rather full right now, maybe not the easiest time to be trying something new.
If you are left with spare dials, then may I respectfully suggest that you have an obvious Everest dial variant - the one that was actually used on Everest:

Which I suspect might be a trifle popular. If not then please let me know if there are any dial samples going begging and I'll do it myself!
I’d happily purchase a waffle dial. Very nice indeed and I love the retro feel

I do too, especially the aventurine dial version.
To echo one thing that someone said previously, though: For aesthetic purposes the bolt heads should either be obviously randomly placed (i.e. far off symmetric) or precisely symmetrically placed. Having them just slightly off-symmetric would appear like an error.
Hi Eddie,
any chance that this model is still in your pipeline?
Same over here... even though it is a homage but I don't see something similar (& wallet friendly) to this in the market
so...any chance that this project gets revived this year?
That aventurine dial looks incredible. I would honestly go for one of these, so long as it has no date. The pure simplicity and symmetry of the dial is really appealing.
Have to agree with you on that dial, it really does look superb and in an Everest case with a Smiths logo and sword hands would be a lovely match for my white dial Everest which has been running consistently at +3’/24hrs since 2019 in temperatures that have between below freezing rising up to 46’ centigrade without missing a beat, if that’s not ‘Super Precision’ then I don’t know what is.
Of course it’s not me who’s going to stump up the cash to produce a variant but as I already have four Timefactors Smiths watches I’d be pleased to pay up front for another.
well...unfortunately from the amount of response thus far... Eddie seems to be right holding up the model for now
I like the pre-pay idea too. A way forward perhaps, and as has been mentioned, a way to buy a watch without resorting to the bunfight scalper-fest!
Perhaps Aventurine might come up in another model if not this one. I don't really follow the TF watches so this may be happening already.
I'm also really hoping this goes in to production - I particularly like the waffle dial version.
Aventurine /Waffle dial for me please - what a watch!
I'd certainly have a no-date version.
black waffle dial for me
That's a nice looking crown, would excellent on the Everest models...
even though the new IWC Ingenieur 40 is back, I thought this is still nicer
Fingers crossed they will become a reality. Hate the crown fiestas on the new iwc design

I suppose it is really dead
Please make this happen Eddie!
Just keeping this alive.
