I think that's why the MB2 stood out as their only remotely interesting watch to me. Everything else seemed generic.

I really like Bremont. It has been something of a slow burn for me, but over the years I’’’ve grown to appreciate their watches. I liked the idea that they were a brand trying to revive the British watchmaking industry. I now have three of their watches, an MB, an S501 and a Supermarine Chrono. I like the toolish designs and the way they’’re built. The MB has been in two accidents, both of which would have tested the anti-shock system to the limit, but it never missed a beat. That for me is a great watch, one that has been designed to do a job and exceeds your expectations.
I don’’’t particularly like this rebranding exercise they are currently embarking upon. However, pretty much every watch brand has been in a similar situation at one time or another. I hope they learn from this and don’’’t destroy everything they’’’ve built so far.

I hate the new logo, no idea what they are thinking! I do rather like the one I have, and having helped design it I will never get rid. A few others older models appeal to me but I wouldn’t probably buy another.
I wonder if the new "compass rose" design on the dial is a nod to the NATO logo?
Either way, I hope they return to their stated aim of manufacturing movements in the UK. If they could supply other "British" brands (CW et al.) with their ebauches then all the better. Sadly they seem to rowing back on that. They now look like another UK-based microbrand buying everything in. This works well for Eddie as he reissues out of production classic and crowdsources the designs of new models. (He's also charging three figures, not four.)
I thought Henley might eventually be the new Cheltenham but alas it seems not. And losing their in-house cases means they've got no USP at all.
Another mail shot today trying to flog me an MB2. Surely they’re chuckling every time they hit send. Bizarre.
Triptick cases on some new editions. Maybe things are turning around?

There are no new releases (I.e. Watches and Wonders and subsequent) on the UK website that I can see, other than the new logo versions.
There are a number of old logo S302 trip-tick cased models shown under “new releases”, however they are not new. They were released long before the “new branding launch”.
From that link, I was just reading Bremont’s blurb about the trip-tick case saying it separates them from other watch manufacturers who use cheaper two piece construction. Kind of embarrassing if they ditch it because it didn’t maximise profit. I really think they need to hold on to some of their past otherwise they are done as a brand.

Always makes me smile more so in the sunshine
Looks like the US site has them as “new releases” - a bit misleading to their new market from the new owners.

Seems a fairly balanced view on the rebranding
Yep, good story, though I think he's still a tad on the optimistic side.
Perhaps our traditional / experienced/ stubborn minds think in a certain way but I have noticed alot of the younger people I deal with who are on that cusp of obtaining high luxury watches (so I refer the Tag Heuer down most high streets) are all really struck by them and I have to say I wasn’t taken but the dials and new logo have grown on me slowly and from experience thats a good sign
Does the Terra Nova have a press / snap on case back? There’s no reference to screw-down on the technical spec page and it looks like it does in the pics.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but did anyone see Adrian Barker’s video of his thoughts on the new range and rebranding? It seemed suspiciously optimistic but also vague at the same time?

I think hes pretty much nailed it with his comments. I’ve had a number of Bremonts but ultimately didnt keep any simply due to preferring other watches but they appealed to me for a number of reasons which is why I bought them and most or all of which appears lost with this relaunch. Its a good point that most people wont know or care about the movement, we are enthusiasts so do but we are also very much in the minority, maybe that is their saving grace and for the employees I hope so.

I read somewhere that the English brothers are now concentrating on luxury pens but I can't fint anything online. Does anyone have any info?
Eddie
I believe it’s in memory of the fountain pen Monsieur Bremont gave them as they were about to take off from his field. Or something like that.
strictly speaking, Yard O Led are a pen (rollerball, ballpoint, fountain) and pencil manufacturer, originally just a pencil manufacturer.
I saw someone mention Yard O Led so looked them up and after a small amount of investigation it seems that the English brothers have taken on directorships of 'Imperial Yard Ltd', the directors of which were the same as those of Yard O Led. My guess would be that Yard O Led was most recently a father and daughter run company but with a significant former history, the father for whatever reason has ceased his directorship (retired?), the daughter is still a director and has come together with the English brothers to carry the company forward.
Aviation pen. Chinagraph. How are they going to sex that up?
Dunno what the moaning is about. They've got a couple of different case shapes. That's nice. There's blue ones and green ones, so take your pick there. And what about that aurora? Nearly 5 grand of black and lime green, Roman numerals on one half and Arabic on the other, got to be a winner.
I'm going to miss all that guff and bollocks. I mean, who doesn't like a bit of a tall tale?
Expect boring corporate speak from now on and less of this

Let's hope the English brothers have learned from their Bremont days and don't try to claim that tuned Bock nibs are genuinely in-house.
I rather liked the Bamford collaborations ;)

^^^ more fail than grail.
Imagine waking up to that every morning! <shudder>
Had like a 10 year hiatus from the watch world and watch collecting, and just come back after buying a vintage Rolex last week, which rekindled old passions. Thought I'd catch up on how Bremont were doing to see if they finally had British made in-house movements.
Instead I discover that they're moving away from the British made concept, changed to an awful new brand that looks like a Stone Island knock-off, and released some truly ugly new watches... What a shame...
On the positive side, more people seem to hate what they are doing now than what they used to do so they must have done fewer wrong things then than now.
Logo is very similar to this microbrand: https://rivelta.one/collections/metrodive
Finally got to see what all the fuss is about today. Certainly not the worst watches I’ve ever seen, if a bit bland and uninspiring. The 2 larger Terra Nova’s aren’t bad, and the bracelets pretty decent (and not the Breitling rip off it first appeared to be) The smaller Terra Nova and Supermarine are tiny (for my tastes) and wouldn’t get a look in.
I’ve owned 3 Supermarines up to now, and loved each of them. How they have put that name on that little thing is beyond me.
