I've just got into 'The Good Fight' on Amazon Prime. It's great!
I recently watched ‘See’ on Apple TV. I thought it was really enjoyable and definitely worth watching.
‘What we do in the shadows’ series 2! Both series are on iPlayer, it’s hilarious.
Unlike Space Force, Upload and Mythic Quest sadly, is there a new genre of unfunny comedies or something?
We watching the Salisbury Poisonings and really enjoyed it.
Jeremy Vine on radio 2 was on about it last week and linked it to The Americans that's on Amazon Prime and said it was very good, so we're 2 episodes in and enjoying that also.
I just finished watching all 10 episodes of Space Force with my wife and two grown sons. We all pretty much agreed is was barely watchable. Fortunately, there was just enough nuance from Steve Carell and John Malkovich to make up for the seriously flawed scripts and heavy-handed humor. A major overhaul will be required if a Season 2 becomes reality.
I’m part way through Apple TV’s The Morning Show and finding it completely gripping. It’s polished, very well cast and acted, tightly paced, dramatic and intelligent. This one seems to have divided critics in America but four episodes in, I’m having a hard time understanding why - unless it’s the usual reason, that half the critics in America are incredibly dense.
Last Chance U on Netflix, college (American) football and how the system works over there. Interesting viewing.
Snowpiercer on Netflix.
Odd idea. First episode is a bit slow and confusing, then it becomes strangely addictive.
Succession is excellent, up to season 2
Bosch on amazon prime is also a good cop show too
Agree with Snowpiecer, stick with it, good show with unusual turns.
The Boys on Amazon is great and that coming from me who doesn’t like superhero stuff! The superheros or ‘supes’ are vain, out of control, management managed all for ratings and to sell merchandise. Give it a good, first few minutes is like WTF!

My BIL is a huge comic book fan and apparently the story is that the writer of the boys approached DC to pitch this as if superman, batman, Wonder Woman etc were superheroes but were human in their attitudes and “weaknesses” (vanity, arrogance etc).
Of course DC flat out rejected the idea so the boys was born where clearly homelander is superman, dark noir is batman etc etc.
And season two lands on Friday too.
Umbrella academy season 2 on end of July as well.
Not a series but Laurel Canyon on Sky is a very nice doc about an era in music and a place featuring the Byrds,Doors,CSNY,Zappa , Mama and Papas and on and on
Bosch on Amazon was rather good, so was Goliath. Great soundtrack as well. Hap and Leonard (again, Amazon) has a great first season. 2 and 3 are more average.
Menno
Agree Bosch is top notch. Also enjoyed Ozark, succession and just started Gomorrah, which is tremendous.
Just watched 2 seasons of Jack Ryan for the second time, on this occasion with the Mrs! Thoroughly enjoyed it again, fair to say the longform medium of television suits the character and story really, really, well.

Just starting watching the Falklands episodes - very good, made back then and presenters were there. Officers have very posh voices!
Seem to be quite a lot of comments on this so I'm quoting you a bit arbitrarily. I just watched S1 and S2 together and thought it was excellent. Really well made, with a great soundtrack too. I'm not the biggest fan of generic superhero type stuff so I put off watching S1 when it first came out, assuming it would be an edgy and slightly "woke" X-men knock-off, but it's really not that at all. It draws a lot of quite obvious influences, has tons of pop culture references etc., but it's not derivative. It has a lot of original ideas and some unique takes on sci-fi tropes.
I particularly enjoyed trying to count the number of subtle Back to the Future references in s2e1.
Just done 4 seasons of " line of duty "
Normally not the type of thing I watch but really got into it.
Would definitely recommend.

Check out Dark, German with eng subs, but you can get dual audio. Very different, and spins your brain in circles.
Where time becomes the loop...
Why has it taken me soo long to get round to watching this.
Brilliant!!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...61ee544a44.jpg

Just finished 2 seasons of Umbrella Academy which was pretty good.
Prior to that I watched Mrs America with the wife which I didn't think would be my cup of tea, but which I thought was absolutely brilliant. Mad Men vibes but with added political angle.
Looking forward to new season of The Boys soon.

Heads up for anyone who doesn't log into iPlayer regularly: they've just added all 4 seasons of Battlestar Galactica (the 2003 miniseries version, not the original). If you like sci-fi and haven't already seen it, it's excellent. Many consider it to be the best sci-fi TV series produced to date.
I'll probably watch it again as it's been a few years since I last watched it.
I just watched the first two (of 10) episodes of Away from Netflix, starring Hilary Swank as the commander of the first mission to Mars. OUTSTANDING! :encouragement:

I was surprised the Scandinavian detective series The Bridge didn’t seem to be on any streaming service.
It’s on iPlayer just now and definitely worth a watch.
Currently watching The Fall on Netflix. Just as good second time round.
A couple of other Scandi detective series I've watched and enjoyed recently are Deadwind (from Finland) and The Valhalla Murders (from Iceland).
Also a Spanish series filmed around Galicia called Bitter Daisies (O Sabor das Margaridas), with a clever plot twist I wasn't at all expecting.
The boys s02 back on [emoji6][emoji1303]
Watched S1 of Preacher over the past couple of weeks - not sure what to make of it TBH.
Will continue with S2 though and see how things go....
It is a fantastic show! The sequel series, Ashes to Ashes, is also very good.
We’ve been watching Schitt’s Creek on Netflix which is quite silly but really good fun.

You can buy the Bridge on Amazon video, 1 & 2 are on Iplayer, my all time favourite scandi it is brilliant.
I believe the Porsche was auctioned off at Goodwood, by the actor who plays Saga, with a clause that the buyer had to make it available for filming if required.
There was an Anglo-French reboot of The Bridge called The Tunnel, with the dead 'body' found at the exact mid-point of a service shaft for the Eurotunnel. The French detective is played by Clémence Poésy, who drives a 944.
