When you fell for a Glashütte Original Senator Chronometer in white gold many years ago and had to get a sales brochure. You then find out the retail price of around £17.5k.

They are now just over £30k.

The second choice was always going to be one of these.......at last.

Thanks.
It's a chronometer rated Ulysse Nardin Marine Torpilleur. Model reference 1183-310/40.
It has a 42mm case but it does wear all of that due to the combination of a big dial and thin bezel.

Very glad to have the Sinn UX back on the wrist...

Well, after a plethora of delays after several weeks, it has finally arrived.
The movement is a centre seconds 6497 Unitas modified by Chronoswiss. A calibre C.672.
Note the curved ends to the minute and second hands.

Thanks John & Sanjay.
I do love a big dial, thin bezel watch with blued hands. Three fairly recent arrivals:

Also this beast.
It's without doubt the best watch I've ever owned at this current price point. The build quality is simply superb. Great movement too.
Complete with dust!

Fine looking watch. Think Binsull was the first one I saw on here with one.
Arrived last week, this lovely Datejust 1601 from 1973 (later Oyster bracelet from 2003). In beautiful condition and running fabulously at around +1.5spd. Just waiting on an additional link.
Reminds me of the, ahem, fake two-tone DJ my Dad got me when I was a kid….loved that watch.
Miss you Dad [emoji17]

Yeah cost is a bit of lunacy definitely. Quality is a notable step up yep, would say finishing is bang on its price point.
The dial, markers and bezel are all very crisp, the dial has a a high sheen finish and a light sunburst depending on the ridge. Lume is a bit of fun for sure.
A great watch to get your hands on and be surprised by I think.
It's a shame it's a cut to size strap, but hey ho.
Yeah I agree, some really interesting bits. This was just a bit different to my other stuff, so fancied it more for that I guess.
I've been after one of these for a while, definitely better in the flesh.
Going to change the strap but otherwise I love it.

I bought this Oris Sixty Five Diver a couple of weeks ago and it was finally delivered last week. This is unregistered (with Oris) new old stock, which since being discontinued, has been difficult to find in good condition. The dark blue portion of the dial keeps it interesting too.

Anyone else with Héron Mariner (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...on/description) on its way? Should be coming this week - looking forward to it arriving.

Lovely watch. My pal has the same model and he was round Saturday night and I was wearing my 42mm YM and we both commented on the similarity of the bezels.
The shade of blue dial is really spot on. Pops without being too loud

Arrived today. Wears visually smaller than my Vertex mp45 but also 40mm

My final incoming on my recent cull / purchase spree.
This arrived today.
I have always kept an eye on these.. and the deal was just simply right for me at the time.
It wasn't my first choice to my final 'settled four' (which is my aim), I had to (very sadly) let one go due to bracelet dimensions, so I ended up with this after all.
I have secured a Toshi from here for this, but now it's arrived and on my wrist I actually think the mesh looks amazing. I have had cheap meshes before on watches (I put one my Capeland S XXL diver), but this Breitling one on this actually is very lovely and matches the watch. I knew it was SLIGHTLY under sized, and have secured 3 links (you can't have too many) pre-worn from the Watchfinder official eBay page for £27 (for all three)!!
They are big piece, but I am a big lad, and I wear this and it feels great on my wrist.
It'll be worn more once the links arrive... can't believe the price that they were today. Still buzzing at 3 for £27. Crazy.

Another lovely watch from Tom, and a good partner to my other UN Marine Torpilleur. The 44mm Military Torpilleur.

Early visit to DHL to pick this one up. First impressions very positive, although it threatens the position of my other GS quartz in the collection. The boutique have sourced me a replacement strap, at less money than I was expecting too.

At £8.25 including delivery on eBay, I was half expecting this to be a fake!
https://i.ibb.co/xXp5CDM/fakecasio.jpg
.. and actually, it is
It gets an occasional Sunday afternoon on the wrist while I've got my feet-up, just to keep the movement flexing, but I'm scared of marking it, so that's it. One of these days it'll finds its way on C24.
If people saw these watches in the metal, I suspect they'd have a fair few more fans!
Bracelet finally arrived for the Clemence. Fantastic finish at the price point. That's my colourful dial box ticked
