If only……… only one I’d need and the rest can go.

Thanks for the comments on my Longines, I’ve admired this dial for a long time but finally managed to find a really good one. I’ve written to Longines to request an archive extract. I think it’s from 1935.
Yeah I know what you mean. In fact Longines did reissue this style dial (a slightly earlier version with the numbers rotated which doesn’t look as good IMO). I’ve only got the sellers word for it but he’s been spot in about everything else so hopefully the archive extract will confirm, but it’s certainly in keeping with others I have watched over the years on chrono24 et al.
I’m not sure if it’s good etiquette to post again on this thread but check out the contrasting brushing in the dial - vertical in the middle and edges and horizontal on the hour track. Nice.

I was another that thought it was a much more modern watch which just makes it even more appealing.
The pictures look fantastic so can’t see anyone complaining about a few getting posted.
All the best
I just received 45 years old Seiko 7548-700C from Australia, in superb condition, freshly full strip service, all new seals.
Just feel right :love7:

I was thinking it was odd someone would ask that regarding a clearly reissued watch, then saw it was you, and got all excited that it might actually be a genuinely old model, and that is indeed the case!
What a stunning watch Ped. That is stonkingly pretty.
Just arrived, Atowak Tarantula. Reminds me of the Urwerk 202 with its revolving satellites. I'm not easily impressed but Atowak have created a cracker! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...5998f8231a.jpg
I've had this a while but I've been putting off wearing it until I could get the second hand removed, which I now have. It wasn't hitting the markers. Came with a lovely strap which I've stolen for my Navigator, but I'm happy with the brown one.

A 2013 reissued PRS-82 sublime, very happy bunny.

Couldn't resist and it arrived today. Dreary day so the picture doesn't do the vibrancy of the dial justice but it's very nice.
First watch I've had with quick release spring bars....why is this not standard on all straps!!?
Will size the bracelet later but loving this strap, not sure if I'll wear it too often on the bracelet
Slightly better picture

Mint choc chip finally arrived. I love it, nice to see some fun in a modern watch.

I haven't bought a new, new watch for a long time, but I really liked the look of this…

Aquastar Model 60 skin diver. Just needs a 19mm Tropic, but I'm loving it and it fits the wrist perfectly. The cat was unimpressed.
And for added 60's contrast, I also bought this…

Peachy little Junghans hand-winder. In superb condition for 60 years old and proof that watches don't have to be complicated or expensive to be enjoyable. Thanks to Paul J.
So much for thinning the collection :hopelessness:
Picked up today!

I'm in the honeymoon phase so take my words with a pinch of salt....but I'm very happy so far. It's gained probably +5 spd, sits well on my wrist & I love the colour.
Now on the bracelet and feels very luxurious!

I had 43mm Le Petit Prince version of this with the 7750-based movement, which was lovely, but just a touch big and so wasn't getting much wrist time. Turns out I missed it and so this 41mm with the outstanding bracelet has been added to the collection.

That didn’t turn out as I planned.
Latest arrival this morning.
Oris pro pilot,
I bought an Oris Coulson pro pilot a few months ago and was impressed with the quality and how the watch size suited me.
Saw this online while looking for green dials and decided to take a punt, I'm well chuffed.

I did post this (Glashutte Original PanoInverse) on another thread, but wanted to pop it in this one too given that it's just arrived courtesy of WoS. Anyway, a slight variation on the usual theme, but an archetypal GO design that I've wanted since first trying another TZer's on about a decade ago.

Picked this up recently, and I still have trouble believing that it's +0.2spd on the wrist.

^Congrats. My favourite diver on the market.
It is the same, yes! I'm a sucker for an expensive service!
Enjoy, Walter. It never came off the sail cloth previously but looks great on that.
The last 24hr worth of incomings have been without exception superb - what a run of lovely watches!
I'm loving it. Here - a couple more shots.

Lovely big crown.

It won't be to many people's taste on here I expect but I couldn't resist this in Berry's in Leeds on Saturday.

This will bring the tone down from the lovely watches previously posted...
Anyway,
So using a San Martin dial and hands, a Seiko NH, an Alpha explorer bracelet and a Riyi case.
I assembled my own 6538 homage!
Still to do is something with that bezel pip! Also to swap the movement to a NH38 for the no date (+ the watch that's loaning the incumbent movement needs it back!)
But never having done anything like this before I was quite pleased with myself... (it passed a 5 bar pressure test too!)

New arrival today which is a little special.
There are only 194 in existence so a very rare watch indeed.
Its correct name is the Omega Seamaster Olympia Ref NO: 2842.21
Omega has often been associated with the timing for the Olympics but in the Winter Olympics of 1994 in Lillehammer, Omega was not given this contract, but it was given to Seiko.
Not to be outdone, Omega became an official equipment provider for the Swiss Olympic Team and provided watches specifically designed for the games. In fact to showcase the brand, different versions were produced, one an Automatic Chronometer version in both mid size and full size in stainless steel ( Caliber number: 1109) and my one, the Quartz version in both sizes and stainless steel too ( Calibre number 1438), mine being the full size. ...There was also a solid gold version of the automatic chronometer caliber.
Production numbers for the solid gold version was a total of 49 whilst the Chronometer versions were limited to 194 each. Now when we consider the normal sort of production runs of Limited Editions by Omega, we can see at only 194 of each standard version, this Olympia is truly “Rare”.
As to this quartz version itself, this is the same six jewelled 1438 version that is seen in the pre-'Bond' Seamasters but placed in the full sized case of the 'Bond' automatic Seamaster
