Thanks for the information. I haven't had a chrono in the collection in 6 years or so (and barely used the chrono function when I did), so my knowledge is severely lacking :-). In my mind a 60 minutes subdial seemed the most logical choice.

Received this today courtesy of Baz and loving it.

caved and went to watchfinder last night. But whilst I probably paid over the odds, I'm really pleased with this. 2016 is done for watches!

Been on the wrist all week and keeping excellent time... I changed it to a reddishbrown strap now and it looks better.
wears big and is big... iconoclast for its time in the 60s
just bought my first ever rolex 'sub date' it's gone away for a clean as it has some very slight desk diving marks, can't wait to get it on my wrist. nato or bracelet?? decisions decisions... i'll post a pic when it's back
Traded in my GMT-Master 16700 and looking forward to this arriving in the post in the next few days :eagerness:

Surely the ultimate grab and go quartz watch and maybe proof that almost everything looks good on a bond nato?
This beauty arrived yesterday.Been after an aerospace but spotted this thought I give it try.
First impressions love the watch it's self but need to change the strap.
I'm thinking black leather, anyone any advice on a decent strap for it.

Not mine. It belongs to a friend, he kindly let me model it. It was delivered to him today so technically an incoming. 😁
What do you think??

This dial is amazing, I think take more photos and give it its own thread.
I have been after a Seamaster 300 Vintage 165.024 for some time. I knew Tom (TomGW) had one which had been put together by a former Omega watchmaker. I have been bending Tom's ear via PMs and e-mails for the best part of a year now and he finally agreed to let me have it - I think it was his way of getting shut of me.

The watch came with an Omega 1171/1 SS bracelet with 633 end links and a brand new black shark skin strap. The lume is superb. A condition of the deal was that if I ever decide to move it on, Tom has to be given first dibs, which I was happy to agree to.
These watches are getting harder to find and prices on e-bay and Chrono24 are crazy to say the least.
A big thank you to Tom.
Lovely, clean, balanced and simple.
There is a reason these are eternally popular, every should have one. (Or two, eh Ken?)
Just got this today!

Really pleased with this early 80’s issued CWC chrono.

Picked this up a few weeks ago from Luxe Watches in Essex. Very happy with it so far but slightly nervous about hitting it on something as its my biggest ever watch purchase by a fair few £s.

Very nice John!
How do you find it compared to the vintage Daytonas?
All the best,
Paul
P.S. Don't forget to screw those pushers in properly...!
I'm going to enjoy making this look old and knackered...
