First pint in a pub was probably The Vernon Arms in Liverpool, around 1977 when I was 16. A pint was around 25p. You could buy Worthington E for 20p a pint. Used to drink crap like Higsons bitter.
A few years later (1979) passed my driving test and remember that petrol was 74p a gallon.

First pint for me was either Tetley or Greenalls bitter, £1.03 a pint back when I was 15/16 in the mid-90's. Probably in The Commercial, Rainhill

When I started on the beer you could get 10 pints for £1.00.
I was shocked when the price went up from 2/- a pint to 2/6p and you could only get 8!
I guess it was in the late 60s, and I certainly wasn’t 18 at the time! [emoji6]
