1966 King Seiko 44-02. It is quite sparkly, but I haven’t got a clue about taking a decent photograph with an iPhone.

I'm not sure why but I have a bit of a liking for the SSK GMT's..... started off with the blueberry, then the orange, then the yellow and finally the grey/gold. I know there is no logic in having the same watch in four colour ways but then there is little logic in watch collecting full stop :)

I've been working on this January 1981 Tuna 7549 for the Japanese home market. An absolute necessity was a rather rare NOS crystal and I gave it the lightest of case refinishes to show off that lovely case back. Serviced last year. Pressure tested. A Stitches & Buckles bead blasted shroud. Showing off the Kanji day wheel today. The last photo (taken a few days ago) shows off the creamy patina, and it just makes the watch complete.

Really liking the new Landmaster LE.

So do I but why are Seiko not marking their dials these days with their model names like Landmaster and Marinemaster (on an actual 300m Marinemaster of course) as they are failing their customers and more importantly, the watches are losing their identity?

That vintage Tuna is absolutely perfect. Good restoration.

After deciding not to buy a watch in 2024, I ended buying six Seiko sarb's in one try. Now waitting the arrival to fill up this topic...is there an end to this madness [emoji2369]
Seiko 5M42-0G70.
These were released in a range of colours but I think the black is the best choice. Due to the issues with keeping the capacitor charged (and with a large collection on rotation this can be difficult), I've just listed this on Sales Corner. Keeping it balanced with blue tac on my toothbrush charger is not really ideal [emoji3525]
Sad to see it go as its quite a distinctive watch and I searched for a long time to find one in this condition.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...97277b8b94.jpg

I’ve struggled for years to find a leather strap I was happy with for my now 50 year old Seiko 7000-8000 but I think I’m now happy! This is a 19mm / 16mm RIOS Brazil in black.

I like this model and colour, wondered if you would mind answering a question. The dial is a kind of pale blue, but in many pictures I've seen it looks more silver / white with just a hint of blue about it. This will depend on the light conditions of course, and I'm sure the "blueness intensity" varies a lot depending on that, but would be grateful for your impressions having worn it. Does it generally seem more like a blue watch that doesn't always look very blue, or a silver / white watch that comes up a little blue from time to time?
I realise this is a bit of a silly question, but would welcome your thoughts if you want to give them. I am partial to dials that are changeable with the weather, and this does seem like one...
Classy sarb065 or 'ice cocktail'? First line of Seiko cocktail watches issued in 2010. I have the 065 and the rarer brother (066 or 'dry cocktail') that I think was produced shortly in 2010. (sarb065 was more popular and as I recall, it stayed untill 2018.). I enjoy the clean look, no 'presage' or any other surplus markings. And signed crown is a plus (Seiko please bring back signed crowns!)https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ea1b125490.jpg
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c6252c8d77.jpg
Thanks for this! I initially thought that seikomatic's watch was the current production SRPB43J1. But I see it's actually SARB065 like yours.
Very similar models, indeed. I agree that 'Presage' on the SRPB43J1 is not needed and could better be done without. On the other hand, I'm not keen on 'Automatic' being in cursive script on the SARB065. Swings and roundabouts...
There really should be a signed crown. For that matter, there really should be sapphire crystal.
