Nah, more like the car for the Pope if I added a glass viewing area to the top.

My in-laws had an Agila of that vintage, and through borrowing it a few times I developed a grudging admiration for it. A proper TARDIS,
BMW 330E M Sport Pro but my real love is my Alfa Romeo Brera Prodrive, looking to add a 997 to the stables for my 60th next year

Sold this nearly 5 months ago, and the 80 year old guy who bought it travelled the 450 miles from near St Andrews to Kingston to buy it. He is a massive Volvo enthusiast and has a 1960s Amazon.
Anyway he sent me an email today. My old car at a Volvo Scotland meet up at Glencoe.

Just taken delivery of my new Audi e-Tron GT, superb car!
MUCH better than the Tesla it has replaced, a proper car if you will, I won't miss Elon Musk's shit build quality!
That in my opinion is the best looking ev on the market.

Since my son kindly crashed my mx5
I've been looking for a suitable replacement and here it is...
3.0i manual
Definitely quicker than the mx5 https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...0f98495763.jpg

Nice, we have been a Z4 household; E85 2.5si for the wife, 3.0si couple for me (same car twice as bought it back from the person I sold it to), then the E89 3.0 for the wife and a Z4M for me that then became a weekend toy.
Cannot recall if you have the resonance pipe on that, or if it only came in on the facelift, but if so try removing it and hearing full ok induction roar. Was only on 3.0 cars but it’s mentally loud.
The Z4 forum was / is a great place for resources and members who will help move the motor to a more sensible place for a small price.
An amazing car, Bangle got abuse in his time but this gets better with age. Always a car I looked back at after parking it up. Every single time.
Edit to add, show us the interior, I still love them.
Thanks everyone, its surprising how many people love the z4
I'm fully down the z4 rabbit hole and searching forums etc
The sound resonance thing looks interesting and I'm all for free mods.
Car was really unloved and dirty but I thought there was a decent car hiding underneath.
I quite like tinkering so im glad its not perfect.

I have a couple of rubbish interior photos but here we go
Cabin is nice and basic, no screens just buttons... perfect for me https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...3460a6fde4.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...df2394d90f.jpg

I had the sat nav, really dated it tbh. But the Intravee addition for a phone connection made it worth it.
It’s a great place to be. Couple of mods I loved were an F10 gear stick (much lower M5 US only, dealer will doubt it exists) and very easy to do. Put it in second, pull upwards but not directly at your face lol.
Then the sports seats if you can, they’re amazing.
The forum is a wealth of knowledge. I bought lunch for some surrey members who fitted my dash cam and intravee. Happy times.
From memory the wheel is thicker on si cars, but Royals are great for a re-trim.
My wife got a Z3 not long after they came out, then got a Z4 when they were launched, both wonderful roadsters with straight 6 engines that sounded and went great!
Back in time a little from me…..
This is now back on the road after a great deal of recommissioning. Still lots to do but a fresh mot last week with no advisories ( yes I know it doesn’t need one )

Tony, have you seen this video? Both cars are automotive art.

Couple of quick and dirty photos, it’s been such terrible weather when I’ve wanted to take a few snaps. Wanted to tick off a big N/A V8 for a while. It was an impromptu purchase, as I was really looking for an SLK55.
It’s a 2009, it’s a private plate, so has the 5.5 V8 with 380bhp. E500 Coupe, for those unaware. Goes like stink and photographed in it’s favoured watering hole! [emoji1787]
Bit of a change from the GT86!

Lovely engine there, also love the noise of the SLK55; recall being overtaken by one in my S2000 and was in awe of the noise as it left me in its wake.
I want to scratch the V8 itch also, Mustang or Cobra are on the shortlist but am sure I regret getting rid of the Cayman dynamically - and I cannot swap the Smart for a V8 lol.
Fair enough, but you still have to look at them on the drive [emoji1787]
Haha true - but I always reverse onto the drive so would never see it lol.
In fairness my last BMW was the F82 M4, so pre grille-gate era.
Will always drop a window when a 63s is next to me thought traffic lights & pull off as gently as I can to hear their noise over mine!
Cannot imagine the new 2.0 version will create quite the same hairs standing up on my neck effect, sadly.
Too true, I’m struggling with what to get next as there’s nothing that appeals and does what I need, except a v8 e-hybrid panamera, and that’s more than I’m happy to spend. The new c63 is out despite the ridiculous power! Think I’ll be keeping this one a while longer [emoji4]

This we turbo beastie :)

Estate too, practicality! They look so good in white too, neighbour has the coupe and love hearing it start up.
Quite a few nice cars in our close, always interesting to see if you can work out which neighbour is leaving from the cold start up sound.
It is a strange time / place, having taken the 718 4.0 CGTS out for a test drive, it’s lost the aural impact of my 981, both exhaust and engine.
Genuinely no idea what next. Few more things to sort, so can’t yet push to a GT3 / 4 unless at retail, and no chance there based on lack of history. Almost like a Rolex AD lol.

Brabus or the standard 0.9t like mine?
Nippy little buggers aren’t they! People seem despise it when you nip past them. Brings out the worst in other driver’s and egos. Makes me enjoy it even more.
Turning circle always brings a smile to my face, utterly bonkers what it can turn in!

Its the Black Edition so standard 0.9T
I've added the side skirts and brabus spoiler and some other bits and bobs , as you side the turning circle makes me laugh every time
It reminds me of old School turbo cars with all or nothing :)
Ps I had a Brabus roadster couple for 10 years

Do toy with the remap, but would hate to lose the character.
On a cold engine & off boost, it’s shocking! I imagine the non turbo 1.0 engine is why people thing they’re slow. On boost its a hoot for sure, we love it so much more than we thought we would.
Wish the 453 EV range was better, the new EV loses the point of a small, park anywhere car. Never had a car where checking the oil was more of a PITA than this though.
With the turning circle as good as it is, I still find reverse parking into a space I’m over correcting too much & probably look like the general public expect a Smart driver to drive like.

Thanks, yeah it’s a pretty rare car. Especially as I wanted this earlier 5.5 N/A V8, not the later 4.7TT V8.
Colour combo wouldn’t have been my choice, but it was family owned until it came to a trader and has been well looked after and maintained.
Thanks.
Mustang has been on my shopping list for a long time, but they were a car that went up a fair whack during Covid and are only just dropping really. I think they’re going to take a bit of a hit over the next year, so just made no sense to buy when dropping. Could well be next car after this, or maybe an Aston V8V.
Thanks!
Toys back in the box until spring. Abarth Esseesse, Triumph Bonneville Custom and 1967 Lambretta Special. Although the latter will still be ridden occasionally over winter.

That’s a bit special isn’t it! Can we get some more pics and of the inside please.
Stunning, but yes poor timing! I snowfoamed mine and 0ppm rinse Saturday as there was a car meet at Thruxton. No deep clean, but glad I didn’t bother as it was filthy by the time I had got home. Rained heavily 5 mins after I left home and the rest is history. Luckily stayed dry at the event, but blimey always forget just how windy Thruxton is as a circuit.
Cheers! I went out in it last weekend and by the time I got home it was more mud brown than red. A quick wash soon brought it back to life although I would like to give it a proper clean.
I keep forgetting to take some of the interior but here's one a friend took last night just as it was starting to go dark.
