Having decided that, after my last purchase a few months ago, enough was enough......I spectacularly failed to resist when I stumbled upon this LeJour Vintage Diver in Chronomaster:

Love the colour, the size, ETA 2824, build quality and the vintage looks. Some might be put off by the word "Vintage" on the face and leather strap on a diver but these don't bother me. It sits quite high on the wrist, about the same as my BB. Great service from Chronomaster BTW: ordered Thursday evening, dispatched Friday received Saturday :eagerness:

From SC (thanks James_) comes the behometh that is the Citizen Aqualand 'Ecozilla'.
Been looking for a good example for a long time, most have been used and abused.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...bf5e55b99f.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f6205aab9f.jpg

My first diver, the latest seamaster example is lovely and after trying them all on the black is the most balanced in my opinion although nearly bought the co-axial chrono in blue with yellow hands.
Went for the rubber strap as more practical for the water and not overly keen on the SS strap.

Excellent choice John! It has a very advanced movement and is good value for money compared to another brand I can think of.
Don’t forget you can check the master chronometer results - downloaded direct from the Omega site for your specific watch. Something other manufacturers could learn from.
Well done !!
Martyn.
Just arrived today

I’ve been undecided about buying an Explorer for a while now and I’ve tried other it’s older and its little brother. The older brother’s acrylic Crystal was too easily scratch and the little brother was lovely but too small for me. So when this came up yesterday, I jumped on it.
I’ve got to say that, so far, I’m very happy![emoji16]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...94e68768f6.jpg
Courtesy of one of our forum stalwarts yesterday, very pleased thanks M

What make of car is that?
GS SBGA407
It really is so much nicer in the flesh. I have owned a number of GS pieces and this is the nicest.
I know this has been said a number of times, and debated before, but in terms of value for money for the level of quality/workmanship I don’t think you can beat Grand Seiko.
They are certainly on the way up in respect of brand awareness and I feel in time they will compete with the bigger boys like Omega etc for market share.
In summary this is a stunner.

Agree but can't buy and keep one until they sort out the poverty spec clasp on the divers and offer at least some on the fly adjustment on the rest.
The easy link (and glidelock) on Rolex and micro adjustment on Omega these days is too convinient to ignore. I like the leather straps but don't personally wear them.
It’s a good point, and one that even Patek and Audemars fall foul of. Why should watches designed to be worn every day not be able to cope with changes in temperature, without a visit to the jeweller? (Most people aren’t going to be taking a screwdriver to their Nautilus)
These manufacturers expend great effort on the movement, the dial, but fail to consider ergonomics. A big part of luxury, especially nowadays, is comfort and convenience, so they ought to address it.
I never needed micro-adjustment for the majority of years wearing a watch - until someone invented it, and then...
Swiss only dial :) 14270

I've spoken to a few AD's and had a couple of 'positive' responses based on buying a couple of watches from them in the last few months.
I sold my 2017 SubC date to Watchfinder in June. Don't regret or miss it as such (well perhaps a little) but really want the ND version now. Had the chance to buy both back at the time I bought the date model but decided against it. Grrr.
Looks a cracker the one you've got
First this one landed

Then this one the next day

The tudor was overshadowed by the omega
The omega is very dressy and the theatre of the box presentation is superb
But ive worn the tudor every day since it arrived
Got to get the aged patina going
Now what was i saying to my wife about her overspending

Pretty similar to me
Sold my hulk earlier this year and now trying for a non-date
But hey its probably easier for me to get pregnant than buy one from an ad
Maybe next time i go to the ad i should set the mood better
Get the lights dimmed play soft music loads of-flowers
Then go for the big one am i near the top of your list

Not my first diver, as I've had many. Possibly the best I've had though. I've had mine for a few weeks now, and am REALLY impressed with it - the whole package is up there in terms of fit, finish and overall looks. I'd never been a fan of the look of the SMP bracelet, but theres no denying it (and the clasp) are a piece of quality engineering, and on top of that its extremely comfortable (I'm sure i'll eventually end up with the rubber and nato for it as well!)
An extremely difficult watch to photograph, due to all the shiny surfaces.

That’s a lovely one, equally as great in the blue finish. Omega definitely upped their game with this watch.

And ive had it and believe me..
You will end up seeing the shortfalls of the design!!!! Especially at night.. lume on the hands is very poor

I would never buy a watch for its Lume capability, it’s the least needed item on the consideration list.

A new arrival and a very marmite choice but one I have been lusting after for a few years. Linde Werdelin Oktopus Moon Tattoo. Hand engraved rose gold case with hand painted moon phase. Gorgeous!
