Quite similar, but yet different!
You have the "export" version, with a clasp with 7 holes for micro-adjustment.
Mine is the JDM: "Japanese Domestic Market", which has a clasp with 5 holes and a smoother finish.
Further, mine has no gold plating at the interlinks, but is plated on the bezel. It is lacking the text "Chronograph Sports 100", it merely states "Seiko Quartz". Yours seems to be all SS, with exeption of the pushers. Is that correct?
As far as I know, they both have the same 100m WR-rating.
Currently I am wearing my "export" 7A48-7000:

On top of that I also own a USA-version (7A48-7009) and have a 7A48-5000 incoming (poor state, it is for parts).
You can say I am really very enthousiastic about the 7A48 ;-)
My birth year Rally Diver that Simon (Foxy100) generously auctioned off for the fundraiser. I like it lots with Wabi plentiful :)

Recent arrival.

Love the GMT!
Congrats! I really love the new gmts and will order one shortly!
That dial almost looks like a 3D-render in that picture. I like it.
Do the screws in the case actually do anything?
Slightly revised 6R15 SKX Orange Sumo - with brushed chapter ring.

SKX case, 6R15 movement, signed SARB059 crown, Sumo dial/hands, brushed chapter ring, sapphire crystal, Murphy bezel and faded insert.
Well I guess I'd better add my couple then.

Latest arrival!

;-)
Now I do... Made this one during my favourite lazy Sunday afternoon activity: playing with Duplo

I like the SKX173 better than the SKX007. Mainly because of the seconds hand; this one's much much nicer than the one on the SKX007.
Just pulled the trigger on a BFK this afternoon from Creation Watches. Watch this space for poorly framed amateurish photos when it gets here... :D
This has just arrived from Creation. Was never sure about the monster but thought I would give it a try and so far I am very impressed.

Grand Seiko 6146-8040 with 'starlight' dial from December 1969. The first Grand Seiko with high-beat movement (and the first high-beat movement made in Japan). Made in the Suwa factory.
http://i825.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps1e951c13.jpg
Seiko LordMatic 5606-5070 from April 1972. Smallish (but perfectly formed) and definitely styled in the 70s with the brown TV dial :) Suwa symbol on the dial denoting it was made in that factory. I've got a couple of DX 6106 models that use an extremely similar case. It's only around 35mm across but wears bigger due to the rectangular-ish case. Hand-windable, hacking, quickset day/date. What's not to like about it ? (Apart from the brown...)

Some interesting info on the Seiko 56xx calibres http://seikoholics.yuku.com/topic/12...6#.U_8Xw2PfSi4
Thought I'd try the chrono on a Help for Heroes NATO and I think it really suits it. The blues in the strap go well with the dial and the red works with the chrono second hand.

a small little gem... I really like the dial and the indices on this one

A real pain in the ass to get as it was being sold by an ebay member in the US and I ran into the Pitney Bowes issue for the first time. In the end, the lovely Mike (demer03) bought it for me and shipped it over.
The first time I saw one I wanted one, but I've not seen many so I was happy to live with the scratches and dings. I'll just have to try getting the polly watch out to sort the cyclops as that's the worst part.

Thought I'd share my Seikos as well. New user on this site, but regular WUS user for some time. Currently holding 3 Seikos.

7N36-6A39 - AKA Root Beer
The ebay international seller scheme is great in one way - you never need to worry about getting hit by unexpected tax bills on an import - but it has 2 major problems. You don't always get hit, so you're paying tax on something that may never had got stopped and, worst of all, if the seller has had some minor problems then the sale my not process despite them saying they'll ship to non-US countries.
In this case, I could have won it for $30 less the first time it went to auction, but my bid would not be accepted despite shipping to the UK being listed. I tried again and the seller couldn't do anything to allow me to bid, so in the end I had to go via a US member.
It's administered by Pitney Bowes on behalf of ebay.
I'm not normally a fan of sterile dial mods, but that is stunning.
Then here is another. I like how this watch totally change appereance depending on the strap. I'm also wearing it on Olive green Nato or black/grey two-striped Nato.
