What a fantastic series, a difficult subject matter suitably treated. Sigourney Weaver is magnificent!

Masters of the Air was superb.
Apparently it cost over $250million to make. It shows.
Obliterated on Netflix is far from highbrow, but after a long weekend entertaining multiple groups, is just the right combo of action, cheese & humour for us tonight. Episode 4 and going.

If this doesn't live up to expectations I'm going to be insanely disappointed.

For anyone with a Meta Quest VR Headset, go to the Meta TV app and search for 'The Soloist.' If you've seen Free Solo you'll have an idea of what to expect but this, in 3D and 360 degrees, is completely insane. I strongly suggest being seated when watching. Alex Honnold is on another level.
Watched the outstanding 2015 movie, A Royal Night Out, a fictionalized account of teen Princesses Elizabeth's and Margaret's celebratory VE DAY (and night) partying incognito with the commoners.
VERY WELL DONE!
Currently Halo, Resident Alien and Will Trent
Jack Reacher
Biggest pile of Shit I've had to see in a while
Expected it to be a bit cheesy but this is off the scale horseshit.
Don't bother honestly.
Shogun - best thing on TV right now

2nd series is a bit more far fetched but a mindless romp nonetheless.
We just enjoyed it with a less critical mindset.
Blue Eye Samurai on Netflix. Stunning animation.
But don’t sit down to watch it with your kids, as it’s full of violence and there are quite a few sex scenes.
Started watching Dexter (now on Netflix) - as I missed it the first time round, so started from S1E1, only 95 more episodes to go!
Boy Swallows Universe was good viewing for a limited series.
1980s Brisbane cool!
Some great performances, surprised to see Bryan Brown is 76.

This popped into my head while reading
Great UK 4 part mini series from 1991 which hasn't been on TV since

Watched masters of the air…. A bit puke inducing (too many poignant salutes for my liking)
However, I lapped it up and smashed it two days !!!
Whoever directed didn't like the Brits much!
They were exceptionally brave…
Lessons in Chemistry on AppleTV
Didn't think I would like this but found it funny with a good storyline, female chemist in a mans world, set in the 50s that kept us hooked. Based on a best selling book of the same name.
And it has a gorgeous dog (who narrates one episode) woof woof!
Sugar on Apple+. Noir private eye kinda thing, Colin Farrell is pretty good in it too.
Just started watching Mammals what a fantastic programme, the Otters in Singapore is a wonderful sight I will go search them out in January
The walking dead - The ones who live, is decent, fills in the back story with Rick - it is only 6 episodes, ends well. Not as good as the early seasons but worth a watch if you invested the time in the original series.
The flying sequences in MOA are truly superb though - incredibly convincing and visually stunning.
While BoB is seminal and can never be filmed again, the intensity achieved in MOA is next level and I’ve never seen anything like it before.
It doesn’t look like CGI.
The last scene of the last series is one of the best I've ever seen. Unless you've watched the whole series, you just don't understand the significance of when Ray looks directly into the camera and AWOLNation "RUN" kicks in. Sooooo sinister it literally had me shouting "wooooo" at the screen in disbelief. Incredible.
Three Body Problem
Amazing book series turned to screen
not sure if it's been mentioned (by me or others) but The Kominski Method on Netflix is very good viewing.
Chuck Lorre produced, starring Michael Douglas as an LA Acting Coach. Very good 'buddy' vibe and very well written. Comedic with some semi serious aspects; given the ageing male cast, many of the issues/discussions struck home.
3 series of around 8 25 minute episodes. Makes a change from a lot of the darker and more serious/violent stuff doing the rounds.
Fallout on Amazon. Fantastic post-apocalyptic sci-fi, and knowledge of the game is not required.
Fringe just watched 5 series of this excellent series Si fi Walter Bishop is a scream also Olivia Dunham nice and a David Bowie twist really enjoyed it.

Just watched Band of Brothers again on Sky platform, truly epic, quite possibly the best TV ever, up there with Breaking Bad and series 1-7 GOT imo

Series 1-7 of Chicago PD is now available on Amazon Prime. Hard nosed cops pushing the boundaries of what is acceptable - but great fun nonetheless!
I've just started watching this - Not really sure what I think yet, two episodes in.
Also watching Gray - Quite enjoying it as it's nice to see an older woman play a sexy, dangerous character - I'm not sure whether she's an anti-hero or a villain.
Interesting comparisons. While I've not watched Breaking Bad (and probably never will now), I would have skipped Band of Brothers based on a comparison with Game of Thrones, which I tired of by the end of season 1.
I would agree, though, that Band Of Brothers is one of the best series ever.
