Talented guy. Bought my 1st cassette (make me smile) by mistake, was really peeved but once I listened to it, I was hooked
RIP Steve utter legend with on of the Anthems of the 70s. Seems to be a regular occurrence these days
Oh no! That's a shock. I know he hasn't been in the best of health.... saw him at a gig 3 yrs ago and he'd had a bad fall then and had to sit to do the show.

Gosh, really sad to read this. A couple of months ago I revisited the Cockney Rebel albums I used to listen to often in my teens. Hadn't listened to either of them for over 40 years but they stood up really well.

Sad news indeed, they are playing extra songs on my radio station Arrow Classic Rock to honour him.
So sad, loved his version of 'Here comes the sun'. Brilliant musician. RIP Steve
