That's a fantastic collection! Would especially want to own that Longines at the bottom.
My one and only BMW is a JLC w.w.w. I usually wear it on a period correct pigskin strap, but thought I'd try a bracelet for a change...

    A recent update

Have been quite a while for not having any update....

Different IWC WWW dial variants, Nato, Nato with IWC Logo, original Radium dial, original IWC dial, and IWC MOD dial. Seems there is one dial with circle IWC, arrow and circle T but don't know whether it is a correct legit variant... still need to verify...

The IWC WWW group set for reference...sorry that I need to put the name on as I did see my pictures have been used by someone that posted in a famous online auction site without my consent.

Special thanks to my watch maker who did marvelous restoration jobs..=)

    Best regards,

    Best regards,
Hans, your collection must be out of this world...as to your name on the pictures, I think it is time I did that to mine as they are appearing everywhere without mentioning where the pictures came from! It is starting to annoy me!

Your third IWC variant...Seems there is one dial with circle IWC, arrow and circle T but don't know whether it is a correct legit variant... still need to verify...

I bought that dial at a watch trade fair a few years ago, Adrian v.d.Meijden informed me it was a fake ;-)

A few watches with that dial were sold as authentic a few years ago at Crott auctions, that's probably why there still is the myth around that they are authentic ;-)

Here are legitimate dials, courtesy of A.v.d.Meijden ;-)

    Checking

    Hello Jimmy,

Thanks for your sharing about this IWC WWW dial.

I have noticed that this dial has a T Swiss Made T at bottom of the dial and it seems it is like a repaint or redial cos all the original "legit" dials do go with Swiss Made or T Swiss Made T and I align with Adrian's comments about this dial.

So it seems like IWC WWWs have 4 dial variants but I have only seen three Nato dial samples with IWC name logo add on the small second counter and the first sample that I found was 10 years ago and at that time military watch price was not rocket high like now. I believe that this dial is legit but just don't know why and who put the name on.

    Best regards,

    Hans

    Hello All,

Haven't posted here in a while. I have a collection of SandY watches and a couple of SandY compasses:

Strap is not original but looks good on the watch.

^ That's what I was thinking too. Wonder what would happen if you DID focus on military watches, Pepere??

A huge number of very nice to utterly beautiful vintage mil-issue watches put up in this thread so thanks to everybody for showing

Where an earth did you find the white dial? I thought it a myth!?!?

Is one of your flat 3's an Aussie?

As usual, you excel far beyond us mere mortals

  34. #284
    Hi Alphafloor,

Thanks again for your compliment and definitely not for show off of this collection while want to share the joy here as I don't expect that I can have the Smiths Deluxe SS4 in my collection.

The white dial MK XI is really a myth as I saw two samples with exact identical dial layout and both carry correct JLC 488 Movements.

I don't restore this watch back to correct JLC MK XI spec until I am 100% confirmed that it is not a variant or simply the watch has this LeCoultre dial due to correct dial stock run out.

The flat 3 are Aussie spec.

    Best regards,

    hans

That's a great collection, bit of everything for every taste. The Cwc is my favourite, no fuss mil watch at its best.

Ultra rare those KNIL marked WWW's. Less than 15 have been documented according to Knirim's book. As you undoubtedly know, KNIL stands for Koninklijk Nederlands Indisch Leger (Royal Dutch Army of the East Indies).

Well: after some serious digging I managed to find 7 examples, of which 1 with an outright weird number and 1 with a mismatching caseback.

Further to Argon's gorgeous & very rare Strela 3017 calibre (Czech Air Force issue), here is my only one, a Russian Pobeda from 1952 and subsequently ČSLA issued.
