Let me tell you my experience with a scratch on my Tissot Seastar 1000...

I bought this Tissot cheap because it had a scratch on sapphire (and as the sapphire was dome and thick, genuine was expensive),I have decided to buff it out.

I bought the paste here http://www.ebay.com/itm/diamond-past...item1e7803b0c0 ,great seller from Poland that sells shaving gear.
This diamond paste was intended to polish razors, but I have decided to try in out on sapphire crystal...

I found this tutorial (http://forums.timezone.com/index.php...32539&rid=5666 ) and decided to try it.....
    Wrong decision....

After I duck taped it,I have began polishing this scratch.....and all was great....I really polished it out...NO SCRATCH....

I removed the tape and washed the watch head with water....cold water came first and as the watch head was in my hands,it became hot...

When I looked at the crystal,I could clearly see the square that I have previously taped around and polished!!!!
(as the watch head was now cooler from the water,it had some condensation on the outside of the crystal)

    What now????

I taped the bezel and polished the whole surface of the sapphire crystal to equal it....

At the end,it turned out great, but believe me,you will need a lot of elbow grease here,do not apply to much pressure on the crystal surface and polish it with small circular movements....

    Good luck Paul

Thanks for that, think I might just leave it then. I can live with it for now!
