    A quick Watchfinder question

Excuse me, I am being lazy as I am sure the answer is on the WF website or in their terms and conditions. At whose risk is a watch which you send to them for the purpose of confirming their proposed purchase price? Thanks.
PS to explain, I have hand delivered my watches to the Burlington Arcade on previous occasions.

Sorry not an exact answer but when I returned a watch for warranty work it was at my risk and the return to me was at theirs

Without having read any terms and conditions, it’s fairly obvious to me that the responsibility is yours until such time as they confirm receipt of the watch or you have proof of receipt (RMSD).
I can’t see how it could be otherwise.

They could always insure it. The same as has been the case with two other dealers with whom I have dealt.

Sorry Simon, these guys expect you to get it to them at your risk.

One of those cash-for-gold companies started out by sending out a pre-paid and addressed RM Special Delivery 'bag'

The inference being that they had insured it via the Special Delivery insurance.

A watch purchaser may do similar with a courier, I guess

The two I deal with. TBH, I am surprised at the question. I guess the difference is the shear size and scale of WF.

Going to deliver by hand to their Maidstone office on my way back to France later this week. Not sure why I did not think of that sooner!
