PSA: Audemars Piguet price increase 5-8% in the UK from March 1st.

Just for anyone on the fence about purchasing an AP, prices are going up by 5-8% across all models, just in the UK. There is no increase in the US confirmed.

The date I believe was the 1st of March. This is confirmed so if anyone is on the fence about buying an AP, better be quick.

Also if anything is out of stock or requires an order, it will be of the NEW price as the UK will not recieve anymore AP's before the price increase.

How sure are you of your source? Already had a rise last year so would be a tough pill for buyers.

Not at all...Shops cannot get enough APs in stock...UK is still too cheap, even their CEO admitted so on TV. It was inevitable. Dont get me wrong, i wish they didnt but its inevitable as the GBP stablises in this new reality.

The Blue royal oak is boutique only so you cant get it in the UK anyway...unless you meant the 15202, which I believe some retailers can get.

You think the famed boutique will open this year? Do AP?

I've been enquiring on the UK price for the new ceramic and Ti ROO's released at SIHH and so far been told no confirmed price until this increase comes into play!

Probably soon seeing that Cavendish also lost their dealership seems AP is tightening up supplies and releasing ever more boutique limited stuff which i cannot agree with but i understand why they would wanna do such a thing.

I'm assuming Patek will also increase their prices.

Really about Patek prices increasing? That's a pity, given I have paid a deposit for delivery H2 this year.

However, I can see the logic (a 10% change in GBP:CHF since start-2016, from over 1.35 to under 1.25 now) - assuming last year's increase was addressing the previous falls (around 1.45 in 2015).

Not when the other brands follow suit.

As an aside, not sure the need for such comments - the thread title is pretty clear. If you're not concerned with AP hikes then don't click on the thread?!

The Bird said March. Hopefully yours will arrive early. Mine was due May, but arrived last week.

I hope the PP rise doesn't happen in March, I have one due in July! No mention of a price increase was made when I was discussing price and placing a deposit though.

I'm glad I bought my AP 15400 back when Darren was doing them for £7995! That's getting close to the equivalent of a 50% discount with another price increase.

Not that price but I could of picked up a 15400 for £9500 not to long back so won't be buying one now!

    Thanks for the heads up.

I bought a pre owned 15710ST at the tail end of last year with the intention of updating it to a new model after 4 years, I was hoping the difference between the used value of mine and cost to buy new would stay around the £5k mark to make doing that possible.

Glad I bought when I did but I'm not sure the cost to change will be that palatable if the UK has many more price increases due to currency issues, shame as I had my eye on one of the new coloured versions released at SIHH this year.

I was planning to get my first AP some time towards the end of March, this could be a massive pain in the backside!

Does anyone know if this rumoured price rise occurred? Can't seem to find any details anywhere online?

I tried the titanium and ceramic on last week in Dubai very nice piece, price was about £23k ish will be about £25 k here in U.K. If you can get one AP put there prices up every year and it's normally march.

As stated by the O/P it takes effect today.

If anyone wants to buy a brand new UK AD 15400 with Black dial I have the offer of one with a very healthy discount off list. The prior list price was £14,300 and after today it is £15,080.

Have until lunchtime today to secure it and very happy to put a fellow TZ member in direct touch with the (excellent) AD to make the purchase....but please be quick! I've just decided to go another way on a purchase that I was weighing up against the Royal Oak.

What a strange response. Shall we just put a price ceiling on the watches we're allowed to discuss?

I know - I nearly got one from Wights Watches and wished I had. Strong UKP and VAT fraud did make for a good price !

It doesn't look like watches of Switzerland have increased their AP prices today.
