I'm delighted with mine.
Jim
I do not have mine yet, but it should arrive soon... In the meantime, I thought I'd just kick this thread off to keep things separate from the "can't open 15th October" thread and gonzomantis' excellent summary thread. So weigh on in happy new owners.
As stated in the other thread - get off the fence! It's a cracking watch.
Straps delivered with it are excellent but mine soon found its way onto a classic grey NATO where it will stay. They were born for each other.
24 hours in and the few things that strike me most are:
The hand set is large. Any bigger and they'd burst out of the case. Excellent legibility from all angles - enhanced by the dd crystal.
Coloured lume is near perfect in its tone.
Case finishing is finer than I was expecting but better for it.
The polished end to the large crown suits the watch well.
I really like the asymmetrical case. The oversized crown is perhaps a touch large for me.
From pictures I was concerned the bezel numerals size would be too overpowering (they are larger then original ) - in reality they don't appear oversized at all.
New car today so pics will be delayed further.
Gray
Likewise, I'm delighted with mine. I love the size, the legibility with the double dome crystal, the hands, the lume, the functional aspect, the movement.......... you get the idea. For any doubters, get off the fence and buy one, imvho.
I'll post pics up when I get chance. I'm on my way to work wearing no.19 and am very much in love with it. Impressions are:
Packaging. I really like the case that it came in and prefer it to the 2 watch case that it was originally meant to come in. I particularly like the press stud fastener that holds the watch down rather than the elastic straps in the old case. I know it was a ball ache for Eddie but as a customer the case is an improvement. I don't think this is aong term feature though.
Onto the watch itself:
Case. One thing I didn't notice from the pics is the assymetrical shape. The bezel protrudes over the case opposite the crown but not on the crown side, and the shape of the case is more curved on the crown side. I have to say this adds considerable character to the watch.
Dial. The aged lume works really well and gives it that vintage feel. The hand shapes are really unusual. The dial is uncluttered and simple and is very well balanced in terms of sizing of markers and logo etc.
Bezel. Very positive, sturdy feeling 120 click rotation. The machining on the bezel is excellent. The bezel insert has a more matte finish which I really like. I also like the absence of the 30 number on the insert.
Straps. Comes with period style silicone strap and navy blue nato. The silicone strap isn't quite for me as it has the quite large holes that mean you can see your own skin, however when off the wrist this does look like a perfect match. I do like the navy nato but I currently have it on a navy nato with white centre stripe. It looks a little sporty with my shirt, as will all the straps, so I'm starting to think about leather options.
Overall this is a stunning watch and it has far exceeded my expectations. I own the Speedbird 3 and the bronze PRS-30 and while I love them all this is my favourite. I can't see that waning over time.
I don't think anyone has actually got one of these '82s
It must be an "in" joke!
Normally when a new watch is released there is a thread before they arrive to post wrist shots in.
I haven't seen any!
Plus they sold out very quickly - but timefactors stayed open a little longer.......hmmmmm
So either they are instant safe queens or they don't exist
(all said in jest BTW. I am waiting to see some real life shots)
No.30 arrived with me this morning (Requested number from Eddie)!
I can only echo what Schofie has said, its simply a great looking piece.

Seven posts and no photos?!?! It's almost like you guys are too busy enjoying the watch or something..... :-)
There was a photo on the "not opening on 15 October' thread: http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.ph...=1#post2903809
Looking very nice. Cross fingers mine comes before weekend (as posted to work) but if not then it gives me something to look forward to next week.
A quick pop out to the shops. This is number 19. Also requested from Eddie as both my son and I were born on December 19th and this is a keeper for his 18th or 21st.

No. 25 out in the wild! Well, on my desk actually! It's a bugger to photograph under our flourescent lights though!!

Well my No. 23 arrived today. Did Eddie not say at one point that it would be Rolex prices. The price was not Rolex but the quality certainly is. I know for some people Rolex quality may not be a complement. The case, bezel and crown are all precisely made, strong and well finished. The crystal and dial are beautiful. I am assuming the asymmetric case and the fact the bezel sticks out one side was to make it easier for divers to rotate it.
#10 just hit the colonies!
Beauty.
The rubber strap does not have quite enough holes for a wrist just a smidge over 6"
The length itself is perfect, but even one more hole would have been perfect for me.
That said, the size of the watch itself is perfect. :)
So if you've got the arms of a small boy then you'll be OK!
I think you could probably get away with punching another hole (sacrilege)
as the strap is still a full inch+ from coming round to the lug on the other side.
Not sure if that would hold up mind.
I did get some Nato's which will work better,
may buy an alternative rubber or "sacrifical" Precista rubber if it comes down to it.
PS.
I was flipping my wrist back and forth checking it out and I kept hearing this metallic sound...
thinking "what the hell is that sound"
I assume that's just the automatic doing it's thing right?
Watch newbie = paranoia !

Here's #007

Like that strap Rev-o although wonder how high a leather Nato makes it sit on the wrist? Is is much different to a regular Nato?
Is there any interest in official Owners thread ?
I've been jotting down who says they have one, and what number they have...
(...since I ordered one and was dying to know what number I'd get...)
e.g.
1 RESERVED FOR TIMEFACTORS ? (something mentioned by Ewan on Watcharama.com)
2
3
4 gray, By the Sea, Wirral
5
...
I then put that information in Google Maps, based on the Location information publicly stated by each user.
(since everything on this forum is public, that does not seem to be a privacy issue...)
https://mapsengine.google.com/map/vi...U.k9dhQp_d8yQM
There are about 8 people so far who didn't indicate their number (like who's got #13 ...damn you...)
and a few people who don't indicate enough of a Location to be useful (e.g. blanks, vague or broad locations)
What say ye?
If anyone is sensitive to this, I can certainly yank your information off the map, or delete the map entirely.
I don't want to maintain this the rest of my life, so I was thinking to keep this to the initial Top 40 club ?
Would likely start a new thread exclusively for this purpose if that makes sense.
Open to suggestions.

I don't have a problem with it. There are other lists on here for LE owners and I've also seen a DN1 map somewhere.
OK we're off and running barring any spectacular explosions
Thread: Precista PRS-82 Royal Navy Diver (re-edition) owners list

Hi Redhed. Just realised my location shows Manchester when it should really show Oldham!
Do you want to edit the location to show a true reflection? And put Oldham on the TF map :-)
Cheers
Dan
danoafc - updated, thanks!
Jim - removed, thanks!
Please use the owners thread for these updates, just so we don't pollute this one too much.
cheers
Damn all of you ;-) I had planned to safe my money and skip any watches over 200 gbp for the next couple of years. Now I see all this wonderful pics and people saying how great the watch is and I want one ;-(
I better practice my fingers until next week when the next batch is being sold. Or I get my girlfriend to talk some sense into me, I really don't need a new watch, but who does?
I don't mind. At one time or another I think I've been on all these lists - sometimes more than once
... but the map doesn't show me by the sea ooarrrrgh
Gray
Congrats to the new owners. Any opinion on the best aftermarket bracelet to fit her? Does the original come with bracelet?
Looks handsome on that NATO. (nice pictures too)
I have mine on http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-Sili...-/190718518325 with Grey stitching at the moment. They're about the only rubber straps that seem to fit me.
Running nice and accurately too -3secs over the last twenty hours or so.
Number 33 has landed and it's so much better in the metal. Here it is on it's original rubber strap which is beautifully supple and looks the part.
And on the wrist
Love those lug holes.
how does the lume glow?
What is the "watch head" weight in grams (without strap/springbars) ?
Thank you.

Sorry chaps, posted this in the wrong thread originally.
Q&D unboxing shots for those curious about Eddie's packaging/the new box etc
Like Cannop has said earlier, it is much so better in the metal. Well done Eddie
due to the aged lume this is the first diver I have ever had that looks OK on a brown leather strap.
*gasp*
Gentlemen: we may need to re-think the rule book. Or at least make an exception.
You lot are making my OCD worse my the minute - all those pics of mis-aligned bezels aaaarrrrgggghhhhh
Lovely watch though.
David
a glowing lume photo would be nice please
