    Black Bay on Perlon

Just got a Perlon strap in the post. I like the look of the genuine Tudor nylon strap but I just found is so uncomfortable. Anyway, thought I post a couple of photos of it fitted with the buckle from my Tudor strap.

    Looks good to me

Mind you, I think that its the answer to just about any strap problem

Is this genuine Perlon? It cant be made by Eulit as they dont do 22mm

No its not a genuine one, its a cheap eBay jobbie with a horrible beer can tin buckle but I've put the Tudor buckle and keeper on it and wore it tonight and it has been a nice comfortable option. with this, the bracelet, a rubber strap and my yellow dog leather nato I can see this watch being a bit of a favorite.

Ive tried a number of Perlon 'look a likes' (including those at 22mm) and found them flimsy and scratchy things. As mentioned above the buckles have been truly horrid. Trying a genuine Eulit for the first time is a revelation. Ive been wearing an 18mm one daily for most of this year and its as good now as when it came out of the packet.

I think that the copies can be OK if you like the feel and are prepared to bin and replace when they deteriorate. Depends how much you wear them I suppose. Sadly there is not much of an option if you need 22mm.

The Eulit strap is a far superior product and the buckle alone makes it infinitely better than the one I have. I liked the look but genuine ones aren't available in 22mm so I think with the Tudor hardware fitted this isn't a bad compromise. Its such a shame I can't get on with the Tudor nylon strap.

I agree, its the awful buckles that really let these copies down and yours looks much better with the Tudor one fitted

There is a german internet site that sells a wide range of Eulit's in some interesting colours - no 22mm though. Not that Ive had any luck ordering, its hardly a user friendly site. All of mine have come from Holberns in the States.

Came across this thread hoping to see a Black Bay on a perlon. I see that Watchgecko do a perlon by Eulit in 22mm - thoughts?

I purchased this strap recently as it's a new thicker model, very nicely made and a much better buckle. The other Eulit straps are just too thin for me.
Just wish they had a satin/bead blasted option for the buckle, the only negative for me was it was a bit scratchy against the wrist near the buckle but a quick rub with sand paper sorted it.
Afik this strap is only available in 18/20mm

I note that only the Palma comes in 22mm - such a shame they don't do the Krystal or even better the Panama in this size.

I'm not as keen on the Palma's weave pattern. At least its a Eulit though.

Nice! Looks good. How does it wear? Better than the stock textile strap?
