Omega Speedmaster Pro
Seeing as we have disparaged the Independent '50 Best Watches'

'50 Best watches' according to TZ-UK
Rules:
1 Watch per post, no debating, picture is compulsory, no repeats
Mine
1 Nomos Tangente
Omega Speedmaster Pro
Rolex Submariner - Any of them
Rolex GMT
Dreadnought PRS2
Big fan of the Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Squelette. I know any skeleton is a Marmite - this is probably the only one I've ever liked.
The Bremont Supermarine 500 (due out in November, I think)
M
Omega Seamaster :)
There is no doubt: Rolex Deepsea
Seamaster Pro (almost a repeat and yet not!)
For me 'best' also means 'of classic design' and so I submit the following:
Seiko 6105-8110
Martin
and Seiko 6309-7040
Martin
Omega Constellation Pie pan Dial 561 movement.
Sinn U1 any of them but here is an SDR
I've had many watches but the one I won't get rid of is the Oris Divers Date so I'd have to vote for that one :)
Oris Divers Date
And surely the GMTIIC as well
Seiko 300m Tuna...
All great choices ... but any more in the vintage class out there to stake a position on the list?
I'll go out on a limb and put up one of my old IWC's from the 70's - this candidate is more based upon the quality of the movement - cal 8541b. The Pellaton movement, some say, is the best all around auto movement ever made and powered IWC through decades of success. And 40 years on they still out perform most new movements if accuracy is your thing.
This heart powered the much coveted Yacht Club (albeit with some little rubber shock absorbers added).

At the moment:
Superb chrono movement, power reserve from another world... and I just like the design ;-)
I'm not as think as you drunk I am.
The AT 3536 is a cracker - a real Sub beater (sorry to the Sub owners) and in the titanium, a lovely thing on the wrist.

Did everybody read the OP?!
Hmm..... :icescream:
Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra (I guess any model would do, but this is mine):
Every time someone asks 'I need a sporty/ dressy watch that's also fairly solid', the Aqua Terra is generally somewhere in the last of recommendations
If I hadnt read the OP it would be this
BUT, as I have I will have to find something else ive owned and it will have to be this.
PAM 127
very beautiful watch :)Originally Posted by PeterM
Speedmaster automatic date for me. Specifically one with the 1469 bracelet as it is more adjustable than the newer one. 38mm width, 18mm lugs so fits under cuffs but also goes with jeans. Pick a colour, I have had a blue day-date, a black one with silver dial surrounds (a bit bling for me) and my current favourite, a green one.
(yes it was for sale but I withdrew it)
surely this has to be one of them :)
Breitling B1
I also think these are damn fine watches - you could wear one anywhere and it would suit.Originally Posted by Shashlyk

My BR02.

Tudor Sub 76100
only one watch per post, not per person so strictly within the rules...
looking a bit blue in this pic
The worlds first analog quartz chrono:
1983 Seiko 7A38-7029 17 jewels
iwc 3227 ingenieur. Will post pictures later as i am typiing this from my nokia and am no way near a decent pc
Edit: I am with Matt!
Now how cool is that? Never seen one before!Originally Posted by Africoz

Suprised not to see the WIS 'Marmite'. Love it or hate it, the PloProf should be here!
Ash
That Seiko is indeed a rare customer 8)
Never seen it before.
Any movement pics?
Cheers,
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
Must be some real tool watches on the list :D
I don't, but if you google Seiko 7A38 movement and click on images you will find some. 17 jewels, all-metal gears, 4 step-motors - they don't make them like this anymore!Originally Posted by Daddelvirks

By my reckoning this is #38 (or #12 if it's a countdown list).
Anyway, I vote for the Breitling Chronomat - I love it.

I am very surprised no one has mentioned the Damasko yet... (Don't have my camera with me so I hope Eddie won't mind that I borrowed his pic)
