    Modified Seikos

Hello All. I always seem to miss those cool looking Seikos that have had the Plongeur-type face and hands mods, when they come up on the sales corner....Anyone got any contact details for where this can be done,(yobokies??) any idea of costs etc? Thanks in advance

    Re: Modified Seikos

I had a SKX007 modded with hands from yobokies:

for parts as well (especially cool are the doxa-style dials/hands) noah - both can be contacted here on the forum.

The next step are parts from Bill Yao /mkiiwatches, which means investing a bit more - I got this incoming:

I saw this one in another post some time ago with a domed acrylic installed. Really nice! Love the lume!

Yobokies has a vast array of quality parts for Seiko's and a quick google search should find his photobucket page.

Bry or Michael Newby are the guys to fit the parts. Both come highly recommended.

Here's a Plongeur dial/hands 6309 I put together a couple of months ago from a junker using a dial from Noah Fuller and hands from Yobokies.

I quite like it with one minor annoyance: the lume on the hands is thin which means you can see the outline of the hour hand through the minute hand when the two align or overlap.

    That is top-ace, Hendrik!

It has been sold since, no?

Oh, and is this the Sub or the Type 1 dial?

The hardware is from Yao, can't remember what they are. Can't even remember the name of the American modifier who did the job.

    Go Bry!!

Work by fellow forummember Bry and one of his cronies (engraving). PVD bezel, PVD crown, blastjob, sterile back (removal of Seiko name and logo), engraving of 1*

Plonkers, sapphire, chapter ring and dial from Bill Yao at MKII. Another great guy to deal with (although busy, busy, busy!)

Watch is far better than lousy pics hint at. I must take some new ones, now that I have a DSLR.
