WooHoo, 100 % for the PAM 104 (total votes: 1)
So, which one would you have, doesnt really matter if youre not in to Panerai, just curious to hear peoples opinions

24 for me :)
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
Out of those two, it's got to be the 104 Luminor.
However, I'm a Rodiomir man myself.
Knew you'd say that Chris :-)Originally Posted by Chris_in_the_UK

Sub here; but I have an 88 already.
Lots of nice ones, inc the 88Originally Posted by Skyman

Been offered a trade for my 24 agains the 104, so just another watch dilema for sunday night!! :-)
Must say, surprised at the result to far!
Um, neither really. Subs are not really my cup of tea and I much prefer the hand-wound ones to the 104. If I had to pick one of the two it would be the 104.
If money was no object it would be the 127 or 217 though.
Dave
24 for me too, but then you knew that, Marc :D
104!
I find the cyclops suits the 24 much better than the 104, so 24 for me!
I voted for the sub, but I wouldn't want another Panny besides my pam000 base :) .
Cheers,
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
104, its a better looking watch IMO :)
Respect the past, live the present, protect the future
104 everytime - it's just stunning - a truly beautoful watch. 8)
I have no idea what either of these numbers looks like. Any chance of a pic, description, spec? Throw us a bone here!Originally Posted by MarcJ

24 gets my vote - despite thinking they are all too big, this is actually very easy to wear (at least for a minute or two!)
104 for me. Not a particular fan of the cyclops but to me the 104 has the cleaner dial and prettier proportions too :)
24 every day of the week... can't STAND cyclops!
104, never liked the comedy "steampunk" bezels on the subz
Ah, thanks. Both nice watches; not inclined to vote as I doubt it would have much relevance - there doesn't seem to be any difference between them other than a bezel. But thought a Panerai-related thread should really go back to the top of the board :)Originally Posted by MarcJ
Bit confused by Jon's comment - he says he prefers the 24 any time, and cannot stand cyclopses; but they both appear to have a cyclops. So not entirely sure about that.

Thats evened itself out a little :-)
104 for me, but a real dilema as they are 2 of my favorites 8)
Owned and enjoy both but I never really bonded with the Pam 24. The 104 on the other hand is a stunning watch and is one of many nice watches that I have owned over the years that I regret selling. So the 104 got my vote.

That picture has helped me make up my mind, now just need to move to a country where the sun shines like that so I can take a decent pic :-)Originally Posted by greeklander

24 for me as well Marc, BUT!! I hate the bloody rotor wobble on both models! Has to be handwound when it comes to Panerai for me mate
Glad to HELP, Marc! :DOriginally Posted by MarcJ
The wobble rotor is a "good" thing to me as I can FEEL even when wearing, to each of his own. Besides, it is a modified Valjoux 7750 which is better and costs more than the ETA 2824-2. As we all know the Valjoux 7750 is meant for a chronograph. So you actually get a "chronograph movement" in almost every Panerai automatic model.
I have no prejudices against winding movement, it is just that I am lazy to wind my watch daily and on 2 occasions I forgot to wind them up after wearing them consecutively for 2 days. Bummer!
Actually also not worried about rotor.
Interesting about the movement though, didnt know that
Marc
a also voted for the 104- but both are lovely
They just look like Panerais to me
The movement thing seems crazy though - do they really use 7750s in time only models? A 7750 is certainly more expensive, but I'm not sure it's "better" than, say, a 2892, which is certainly a newer movement.
yeah, they do that so the seconds hand can be kept at 9, nicely finished as well... :DOriginally Posted by jd
Voted for 104, but my purchase would be more classical: 111 or 005
