Hi, strange one this is, just bought a Glycine sub.
Tried it on soon after the bracelet came off at the link near the lug, the pin had come out.
I replaced it but it happened again.
I then put the pin in on its own and no matter how I tried it stayed in place.
So this only happens when the bracelet is on.
Any ideas folks?
My guess is the end link isn’t seating properly, due to mis-shapen end link or lugs.
What happens if you reverse the bracelet - i.e. put the 6 end link in the 12 lugs?
That might help you work out if it is the lugs or the end link.
It may be that the springbar ends are a bit too fat to locate fully into the holes in the lugs, and so are not quite engaging.
I've encountered this sort of thing once before, and swapped the springbars for skinnier ones, which engaged properly.
You need a silent room so you can listen for the tiny click.
Magnifier and good light required, then engage brain and observe very carefully what's happening. If you can`t see the problem you have to keep looking harder, that's what a repairer would do. It's a combination of observations and thinking.
You've confirmed the spring bar is functioning correctly, so the only explanation is that the spring bar is not seated correctly into the lug holes when used with the end-link.
If it were me, I'd assume user error in the first instance and have a go at getting the end link seated more snuggly so the spring bar properly engages in place. Something could be bent maybe, but seems more likely you've just not had the spring bar properly seated in the lug holes on both sides.
