Oooft Tommy, thats beautiful.
Thanks Ben and Sanjay. Two stalwarts of the forum. :-)
It's a Wempe Fliegeruhr Pilot first produced by Wempe back in 2000.
Back then it formed part of the Wempe ChronometerWerke range. The CW motif is on the dial. It is 43mm.
It was a very limited edition so 150 in steel, 125 in silver and 50 in platinum.
My choice is steel.
I owned one 12 years ago. I've been trying to find one for four years. Finally!!
I'll take some decent photo's once it arrives, but I found this one online.
I have owned a few B dial Navigator pilot watches over the years but this one has the most character. It is without doubt the best of the bunch.

Not new as such but had been stuck in my watchbox for 2 years or more, broken & unloved. Sent off to Paul (walkerwerk1958) for some TLC, & bang, up & running well within COSC specs. Top fella our Paul.

Squale Squalematic 60 Atmos in aqua blue and white.
I've fancied something bright for a while now and this definitely fits the bill. It's no shrinking violet, at 44mm and 16mm high but it sits fine on my wrist as it has nicely sloping lugs. The enameled bezel is superb, as is the sunburst blue dial. The AR coated domed crystal is really nice too.
I bought it as a nice holiday watch for the summer but have no doubt it'll be quite at home brightening up any grey North East days. I'm now looking for a suitable Nato or rubber strap to give me options and tone it down a tad, the combination of the polished metal of the watch and the bright mesh does make it a bit 'in your face'. Speaking of the mesh bracelet, it is absolutely huge (presumably so it can be worn over a dive suit).
If anyone sees any 22mm Nato that you think would suit this, please let me know.
I paid Ł1,007 from Chronomaster which was hundreds of pounds cheaper than elsewhere. Ordered it on the Tuesday and it arrived on Wednesday. Interesting that when I checked on their website tonight the price has been increased to Ł1,270.
I've included a photo of it next to my Gen 1 Black Monster for scale.
And finally ... as I mentioned in a previous post, a photo of the the top and shorts I bought to go with it

So the Sinn sold, but the plan to keep all the money in the bank didn’t entirely work out.
E75362 40mm Aerospace courtesy of Greg from the forum, and a really lovely full set example it is too :) I blame Watches of Espionage on Instagram, and James Stacey’s Hodinkee article on older Aerospace’s. Bought a Victorinox Swiss Army knife with caseback knife and tweezers, so good for DIY battery change when the time comes.
Cautiously confident the watch collecting is almost over.

That Squalematic is bloody lovely. I've been having impure thoughts about Squale watches recently, so would value your opinion on how robust you think the bezel insert is likely to be? I'm a clumsy sod, and don't want anything too easily ruined...
And FWIW, I don't think I'd be putting a 16mm thick watch onto a NATO - you're adding another 2-4mm to the overall height. Were it me I'd go for a nice old-school Tropic, in a complimentary colour:
Or perhaps a cheap-as-chips option:
If you are determined to go NATO, I've used this seller, quality is great and price sane:
Congratulations, I saw your Want to Buy which I think had a photo of mine to show what you wanted. It is a lovely watch, I think it wears more like 42mm with the curved lugs. I'd agree with the previous comments that it will be a bit top heavy with a NATO but perhaps worth a go. I wore mine for ages on the mesh, then tried it on a Jeulong FKM strap from Ali Express (costs about Ł9). The straps are about 85% of the quality of an ISOfrane and do hold the watch in placed well.......but i've found the blue of the dial is difficult to match and the strap I originally bought for it, was a poor match (photo below). If I were to look at a rubber strap again, I think I'd go for either orange or white.......but for me it is back on the mesh and staying there.
To answer another question, as far as the bezel insert goes, the markers are capped by a smooth sapphire and so very resistant to scratches. I am a massive fan of Squale, with 16 of them in my collection :)
Not new, but broken & unworn for easily two years, possibly three.
Fixed by our own Paul, (walkerwerk1958) and now seems like a new arrival after all this time.

A DHL driver just brought me a package from Osaka, Japan.
Seiko 7549 in SUPERB condition!
Not bad, for a August 1978
Got one of these back into the collection and it will stay, it was stupid to sell the one I had previously after saying it was the nicest diver I'd worn and they'll get harder to obtain moving forward.
