My Dad asked me to buy him £1000 of Bitcoin over Christmas, out of the blue!
He’s 82.
Turns out he’s been subscribed to some online finance newsletter that sometimes has articles about BTC and crypto miners etc. He was very clued up when we had a chat about it, I was impressed!
i’ve got a couple of grand in bitcoins via crypto.com which are doing very nicely, only problem is being a bit of a numpty i’ve got no idea how to take the money out if i want to as you can’t seem to just withdraw it to a bank account , i tried to take it out a few months ago, glad i didnt now as they are on the up
hi, i have the crypto.com app on my phone, i have withdrawn fiat to my revolut account, with no issue, to be fair i add to the app via the revolut account too. but it should be possible to withdraw to a bank account

Nice little lift overnight
At the rate the ETF's are buying Bitcoin it will not stop going up anytime soon, the demand is massively outstripping supply at the moment and the supply is about to half in 52 days, think about that.
6 green monthly candles in a row for Bitcoin, that is a new record

Not far off the all time high, let’s see where it goes from here.
Lamborghinis all round!
Well a round of Lambrinis at least :)
It's just a matter of time...
65k ticked off, and the ETFs will be hoovering up from now until Friday.
Happy days!
Still waiting to see the Lambos and mansions or even would like to see anyone who brought a coin at £6k and its now worth £65k and they actually sold it and got the cash.
Instead it always seems to be a frenzy of publicity when up and radio silence when down.

Yep had a go as part of a portfolio and it was the least performing aspect with the highest risk and most complexity. So from experience not one for me. At the time an option due to low interest rates and a need to make money work but no longer an option for me personally.
My only concern is painting it to be the messiah of wealth and others being burned through ignorance or greed

Average Pete
4.7% on an ISA drops a few quid a month into the bank nicely and luck on the bonds has seen me have closer to 6% rolling

I don't have any coins, my work colleague and his friend (both in their early 20's) have a fair amount it, his friend has been putting in £400 a week for the last 2-3 years, not in bitcoin but smaller coins, after 2 years of feeling drab he's pretty confident on it going to £75k or more once the halving happens. If that happens he will do very well, his friend extremely well. At their age it just is a normal thing to do, and they are happy gambling on coins, at my age (41) I just can't take the risk, if I had more spare money I might do.
It'll be disappointing to not get to 75k by close of trading Friday

It's all a scam.

What are people’s sell targets? Just interested in what level people would be willing to sell at and the thinking behind it.
Looking at the chart the obvious resistance is $80k. From a technical standpoint there is no reason to sell until then, it's at all time highs and finding its next level.
