Sums it up perfectly, absolutely tongue in cheek high octane tosh, won’t win any awards but will make some smile and cringe in equal measures

Watching Golden Hour on Netflix, a Dutch terrorist drama, very very good so far, watched 3 out of 6 episodes.
Finished the series now, I'm afraid it went down hill after an initial good start. Like a lot of series it could have been wrapped up in 4 episodes, stretching it to 6, killed it in my view.

James May our man in India.
3 parter on Prime, if you like your travel shows, I thought this one was pretty good
Yes, Fool me once is good and we finished it over the weekend.
Also started watching Chloe on iPlayer - a bit weird at first but keeps you engaged, we've just started E3.
I started watching Mr Bates vs The Post Office (or whatever it’s called) tonight and it seems really good so far.

Enjoying Michelle Yeoh’s acting in the mostly Taiwanese/American born Chinese tv series on Netflix right now, The Brothers Sun! Funny and light hearted fast paced action comedy 8 episode tv series
It doesn't start until Sunday, but Jodie Foster stars in a new six-episode HBO series called True Detective: Night Country. Foster is Chief of Police in a small Alaskan town where an entire arctic science expedition suddenly disappears. I'm all in!
Discovered this by accident on Sky, its been running for quite a few seasons.
Madam Secretary with Tea Leoni.
Mainly watching as I have always had a soft spot for her since Bad Boys.

For those of you who don't/didn't have access to Sky Atlantic, the first three series of True Detective are available to all Sky viewers via On Demand/Box Sets ATM.

Has anyone tried the new series of Fargo yet?
I have heard that it has been released recently (on Prime Video).
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Just started Boat Story on BBC 1 very good so far.
Started "Night sky" on amazon starring J K Simmons. Two shows in and it's shaping up well I think

I really enjoyed this but unfortunately Amazon didn’t and it wasn’t given any more series. Real shame as it had potential.
Check out Silo if you fancy something kinda similar.

Caught the 1st episode of Boy Swallows Universe last night, definitely has potential.
Netflix...Boy Swallows Universe.
I'm two and a bit episodes in and thoroughly enjoying it. Like other good TV and films from Oz it has an unpredictable mix of comedy, tragedy, reflection etc that keeps one engaged...that and some good acting that just fits the action. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but it's currently rated at 8.2 on IMDb.
PS It's set in 1985.

Very, very late to the party but got Disney+ over Christmas and have now binged season 1 of The Bear. Just incredible.
Brilliant writing, acting, tension, pathos, humour… the best TV for years by a mile. I've had to sign for another month to catch the rest.
Also caught the old Netflix series The Stranger. I absolutely hated every character and their suburban smugness, in a barely-believable perfect world of private schools, glass extensions, manicured lawns and Range Rovers, but of course the story hooked me in and I ended up finishing it in 3 nights. It definitely improved after the first episode, but not the best.
If you like tongue-in-cheek Space Opera SF you are in for a treat; I would recommend "Spatterjay" or "Gridlinked" as starting points in two book-series set in the same universe. The latter was an early book, with some rather wobbly writing (e.g. overuse of the word "grimace") but most of his books are great fun.
And to drag it back to TV series, if you enjoyed Richard Morgan's 'Kovacs' books, you may enjoy the 'Altered Carbon' series on Netflix, although I wish they had stuck closer to the plots of the books.
Cracking start to True Detective: Night Country. Here's hoping it's a return to the magificent, nightmarish form of Season 1.
Thank you for the recommendations. I was pleasantly surprised to find a copy of The Gabble in the library and am enjoying that. Having been fully immersed in the Culture it is interesting getting my head around a different society.
I did enjoy that (weren't there two or am I thinking of something else?). It is good to know there was a book behind it. I'll put that on the list too.
In past few months I’ve enjoyed:
The bear
Dark
Succession
The wire
Ozark
Looking forward to trying the new true detective
Just finished the last episode of Fargo series 5 which is on Prime - I really enjoyed it and reflects the Coen Bros style - Ole Munch character was excellently played by Sam Spurgell and having just read a final review of the series, puts a satisfying understanding of his character.
'Loudermilk' is one of the funniest things we've seen for a long time.
Netflix - World War II: From the Front lines is phenomenal. Fantastic remastered footage from all sides, excellent narration. Totally worth a weekend binge watch.
Started watching Criminal Record last night on Apple TV plus
UK crime/police corruption drama starring Peter Capaldi. 2 Episodes in and I think its pretty good
