    Aw no, sad to hear. Only a couple of weeks ago I was reading that he was in a care home for entertainers with Richard O'Sullivan.

    Very sad, and surprised to see he was 'only' 82. Thought he would be 90+ for some reason.

    Ah, didn’t know that. I’d seen images of Richard O’Sullivan who didn’t look well. Sad when you remember them in their hey day.

    I too have fond memories of the Mike Yarwood show from my childhood.

    I am surprised that he pretty much disappeared from our screens in the 1980's - no idea why.

    RIP.
    On the BBC today they were saying he didn’t find the newer politicians interesting and so called it a day. Other illness issues too

    In his time he was great.
