I don't give a crap about buying a Rolex so will try and get on "a list" and then do subject access requests as nobody wants to chance it .
Never thought I would like TT, but the black dial one was lovely, little bit shouty though.
Was offered recently, but really only want one more watch and that is an LV sub.
If I am not on a list & don't get one in 3 years for my 50th, I won't bother.
I am not doing grey for myself, my end game is easy therefore & saves me money.

Only Farage would want a Sprite, a hideous invention that makes me feel nauseous looking at it and if it wasn’t over RRP the expression of interest would be close to zero. Total bragging rights watch whose novelty will fade fast and does not look good with anything.

Possibly because it gets prices back to where they should be, RRP for new and a little under for used, too many Rolex and the odd Omega owner that only has / buys because they are a profit scheme rather than actually wanting them. People sitting on them in the desperate hope they discontinue and rocket in value which is less likely by the hour. New innovations from Rolex and the watch world are making sure that quality is there in modern releases.
Interesting also to see the exhibition casebacks appearing and expect to see them filter down the range to SS in good time, this not only encourages a nicer aesthetic movement, reduces the growing problem of faked CNC Rolex internals that are in half the watches on the circuit but more importantly adds to the pleasure of ownership. I would like to see this as an option rather than a given but think most will chose exhibition casebacks given the choice.

One of those in Glasgow boutique window today
A real standout dial.
No idea of cost
Everything exhibition only
^ each to their own, but that’s fugly as a fugly thing!
That one’s sort of ok until you get to the diamonds, then yuck.
worth a watch

Windsor Bishop in Norwich had the new two tone GMT with the black and grey bezel in the window today.
Did have a price on, £13k and change IIRC, but there was also a little 'exhibition only' sign next to the display.
First time I've seen a GMT in there for years but I don't look that regularly.

What are you aiming for next Paul? Winsor Bishop are a great independent AD to deal with. Hope you’re well buddy.
MSRP is £13,850 and not a chance it’s not an exhibition piece.
As above, they’ll certainly be exhibition pieces.
All is okay Gareth and trusting you are keeping well buddy.
I fancy the green GMT or the challenger, oh and the white faced unthinkable
But, the Reverso Small Seconds is shouting louder at the mo.

Challenger is seriously tempting.
I’ve asked to try one on before deciding but really do want to try one on.
Yep, with you 100%. Want to try all three and decide. Of course depending on if I will be lucky enough to be added to the list.

As ever, living the dream here mate.
I’ve got the Green GMT on Oyster and it’s a watch you have get on the wrist (left or right) to “get’ as there’s a lot of nonsense spoken about it here..
I’ve yet to try on the Deep Sea Challenge but from what I hear if you aren’t a man mountain (like Dwayne Johnson) it’s just a bit daft.
Love a classy JLC too 👍
Took me years to realise but anything I buy above list elsewhere goes out the door quicker than it came in.
I’m sure it’s a very low production model so hopefully the wait isn’t as brutal as the other prom queens if the lords deem you worthy of adding it to your wish list.
I have seen one in the cabinet and it really is outrageous! I didn't even try it on as it was so obese that it probably would have broke my wrist! Definitely one to try before you buy as noted.
Fairly accurate assessment of the market from all quarters in one video,

Im my opinion we haven’t reached bottom yet
February ,march 24 is when we’ll get an actual idea of where prices will be. And there will be a period of at least 4 years of slow growth in watch prices mainly due to only 50% of mortgage market going through refinancing at higher rates leaving the other 50%to go through still . Coupled with the amount of money during Covid that was pumped into the economy which I don’t see those levels being reached any time soon again. Again only my opinion.

I’m not sure when we reach the bottom really matters.
For new stuff, if that’s what you want, availability can only get better. That’s a good thing if you wish to be in that market.
If you want something older but desirable to you, prices may fall a bit, but I would still buy the right watch now, if it came up. The only exception to that might be stuff like the Hulk, that is discontinued but still hot.

Too right! High borrowing costs to fund the purchase for flippers and falling margins means it’s no longer zero risk. Obviously on top of the general economic issues.
Was going to call in to my AD on a rare trip into town. Couldn’t be bothered in the end. If they ever want to sell me something, they know where I am!
Might be wrong but I assumed PM models were the last to go up so first to go down would make sense.
Milguass pricing has always been rather random when I’ve looked. Some looking way over and others borderline reasonable! Obviously discontinuation will play a part.
