Looks great. Beautifull watch(1944 heritage?). No ghost date is nice. I would skip the strap, the ‘Zulu’ hardware is too present.
Hard to buy for me, it would be a popular watch and sold out in a minute. Too bad.

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
This is not helping my plan to buy no more watches.
Think I prefer the colour on this strap but wanted to echo others thoughts on the hardware feeling a bit too Zulu-esque (though I appreciate it might just be because it’s a render)
Would canvas/nylon keepers rather than the polished silver keepers be worth any thought?
Again - as everyone else is saying - this will sell out immediately. Beautiful watch.
Eddie, remember this?
Look what just turned up.
(these are all the pics I have)
Longines have just released a heritage re-issue. Feel it would work better at a smaller size though.

I like the cream, and think it would look great on a tan/brown leather strap with white or cream stitching.
Can the lume on the numerals and markers be made a little darker to differentiate from the dial? On my white-dialled Everest, they disappear into the dial a little too much as the colours are similar.
I think it good that you’ve gone for an 18mm rather than 20mm strap width, which looks a tad too wide on a 36mm dial
It's my favourite smiths watch for sure, and I've been looking for a good www homage so it's kind of perfect for me as nothing else available scratches that itch
Worth noting Vertex teased making a 36mm www on instagram, so that might be another contender too (although obviously Eddie's take looks to be more traditional new old stock/reissue of the original watch, whereas the m100 is a more modern redesign so not quite the same beast)
You know what on second look I think you're right! Lug to lug is way off. WWW is 44.5mm and PRS-29 is 46.8mm
If it's essentially just the PRS-29 case (slab sides, similar height etc) with a shorter L2L then I think it'll actually be an improvement on what I already consider to be an amazing case.
Homages to
Sekonda Strela 3017 & Omega Flightmaster taking best bits from the Cal. 910 & 911.
Why? In my eyes the Sekonda is one on the most beautiful and elegant Chronos ever made. And the Flightmaster has one of the most interesting combinations of case and dial designs of the seventies.

I’ve fancied a GMT Chronograph for a while, but can’t identify a modern movement with these complications.
The Heuer Autavia GMT is my grail watch and I’d love to see a modern interpretation.
Or the Zodiac branded version based on the later Heuer Autavia case
Coming to think about it, I’d like an homage of this Autavia even if it didn’t have the GMT function. The Pepsi bezel is a jaw dropper on a chronograph.
GMT chronograph could be the Valjoux 724.

That was my 100th post. Come on Eddie, build a GMT Autavia homage to celebrate
Whilst looking for a Cali dial for another self build I discovered the very rare Rolex Zerographe

Another nice project Eddie, for once you’ve homaged the Autavia obvs.

What about this being an exploration into the Seiko VK63 mecha-quartz movement? No need for a GMT movement, just a faded Pepsi 12 hour bezel which could be turned to indicate GMT when on holiday?
37 or 38mm bezel diameter, 46/47mm lug to lug with a 43/44mm lug-hole to lug-hole, sapphire box crystal, bi-directional bezel (for GMT use) and I’d have the ultimate daily driver. Please

So this is probably never going to happen - too similar to the PRS-25 and recently a very 'hyped' watch due to the re-release which isn't really timefactors' gig
However!
- originally designed and supplied to British explorers
- interesting handset
- vintage feel that falls in line with the rest of the smiths catalogue
Make it a 36mm and give the seconds hand that red tip from the reissue and I think it would sell. One of the biggest complaints about the current ranger is the size (most feedback I see is it should have been 36mm but they didn't want to interfere with the explorer's identity in the lineup) so we know there's a market for it and lots of people found timefactors from looking for an affordable alternative to the 1016 so that kind of reach isn't unheard of for the company
Would be easy to implement as it's basically just a PRS-25 with a different dial and handset, so a lot of the work is already done. The changes I've suggested also gives it enough of an identity where it's definitely a Smiths take on the watch, and not a rip off of a model that's recently been getting some media attention
Quick Edit: with the same lume that was used on the PRS-25 Honeycomb for the extra warmth!
Have now got myself worked up for a watch that doesn't exist

Well, since you did say “any”
Hamilton issued to US Marine pilots in WWII. A black dialed version existed for the Navy.
This one is mine, but I’d love to see a modern version.

Depending on the price of the Sellita SW360-1, I'm thinking about bringing the Carmania back.

I see that the Rolex Turn O Graf had a waffle dial. An easy win could be to use this new Timefactors waffle dial version on a re-released Commander.
A white waffle might be nice too on an Everest?
Most iconic Smiths model ever. Use the same vintage lume as the honeycomb. Success.
Vacheron 222!
I would love some version of this at let's say 38mm.
(The original is something like 31mm)
Even better with the 9ct gold case

I think a Smiths Deluxe “BR” for British Rail would be very popular with Smiths collectors.
