Last few times I’ve seen photos of him I thought he was looking less & less well.
He was a great musician, may the party continue on the other side.
Just heard Maxi Jazz from Faithless has passed away, he was a massive artist in the 90s club scene, I did some raving myself back in the day.
RIP Maxi

Faithless were an amazing live band, abit forgotten these days but late 90s they were a real tour de force on the live dance scene.
He was a lovely guy, i met him a few times on jobs and he was a sweet charming man, softly spoken, always generous with his time.
I’m a huge dance music fan, it’s all I listen to. This is sad news.
65 is no age these days.
Faithless moved the scene on massively, particularly in terms of live dance music gigs.
Sad news ... great band .... saw Faithless at Brixton Academy a couple of times and Sister Bliss DJ at the Gallery. RIP.
Blimey!
RIP you awesome guy. Brilliant music, great entertainer.
God has a DJ.
RIP Maxi.
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
Very sad news! RIP
Gutted when I heard. Everyone knows Insomnia but I love this music video.

Insomnia was my gym treadmill track for a couple of years back in the day. RIP Maxi Jazz,
Genuinely sad about this, saw them a few times back in the day and part of the sound track of my life.
Never my type of music but watched him race Fiestas in a BTCC support series.
This really hit me yesterday. I've been a fan since the first album. Not one of their bigger hits but 'Music Matters' is in my top 5 songs of all time because music does matter.
I first heard Imsomnia in Ikon Wakefield, it was Rooftop Gardens, massive club in the 90s and in the scene.
Maxi did play a massive part in that scene from 1997 till now
I think if you are of a certain age, you remember where they were the first time you heard insomnia.
For me it was Bluenote in Derby. Just a WOW moment and I’ve been a fan ever since.
Seen them a few times live, and his Glastonbury performances were something else.
A personal favourite is Tarantula. Which if my memory is correct was used by the BBC for the 2002 World Cup opening credits.
Salva Mea is a right up there as well.
RIP And thank you for the memories.

Sad news indeed - I bought the Reverence/Irreverence cd years ago second hand, I'd not heard anything from it & was blown away - I've been a fan ever since & saw them twice with the Leeds Uni show being a standout for me.
I'm in Scotland & will be playing Faithless on the 3 hour journey home to Leeds. Hope he's having some sideways fun in his mk2 RS2000.
Tall trees ,that’s a blast from the past ,impressive place .

Faithless was one of those bands I was always going to get round to seeing one day. And thank goodness I did, back in 2015
