Remember. And wear your poppy with pride.

respectful bump
this should have stayed on page one  get your cash out its for a very good cause
I have - seem to have bought about 3 this year - keep forgetting when I go out and have to buy another. I have to say that I've been dissapointed by the response this year, I have been shopping all over the North West these last 2 days and there aren't that many on show. There are a few but shop staff don't seem to have them, the young don't, not even a bunch of sqauddies I saw didn't (possible they may have been selling them earlier though), not even many of the old have them on.
I wear mine with pride for those of the past and those current under fire.
I'll help this back to the top.
At the turn of the last century I was working inside the Palace of Westminster (that gaff in london with the big clock on the side  ) on rememberance sunday, and if you not far away or doing nothing a trip up to the cenotath is quite humbling.

+1
bump
I will be buying mine today, got some cash back so i could put in a decent donation yesterday and by the time I got back to the front of the store they had gone for the night.
One of the most worthy things that you can donate to. I have an uncle who survived various campaigns in Europe in WW2 which is perhaps why the sacrifices others made seem so important to me.
As the post topic says, DIG DEEP and be thankful

Defiinitely a BIG bump from me.
I had a difficult time this week explaining to my four year old wins what the pretty red flowers were for. In brief terms of course, but they've had theirs on all week and are definitely wearing theirs with pride.
Am getting my medals out for their yearly airing and shine up ready for Sunday.
Cheers.
good for you mate.Originally Posted by brynglas

Time is of the essence here everyone (seriously no pun intended)... don't dare to be seen poppyless over the weekend.
BTW this bump is definitely not a ploy to finally qualify to have a peek into the bear pit...
But this one was!
all bumps are welcome mate :lol:Originally Posted by studs

todays the day gents. please make a donation.
I always buy more than one poppy so that i can place them on more than one jacket but it dose seem that this year i have seen less on the streets
we must show that we never forget what these guys went through and the ones that didn't come back, as a country do we really give enough to
our brave armed forces
Bump from me here too.
It's sad that a lot of people miss the point and think that wearing a poppy supports war - huge lack of understanding. I have respect for anyone who's work involves them putting their lives at risk to protect the rest of us.
Wearing mine with pride.
when you go home, tell them of us and say
for your tomorrow we gave our today.
