We will be back at that next year, we planned it out and drove down expecting it to be a very low key event, we we very wrong! There were at least 20 cars from an old A6 2.5 tdi, mx5, Bentley conti, maclaren and most things inbetweeen,
The hot lads were all young, the MX5 was first at 4.06 followed by the A6, he was bragging he had enough fuel left to get home and then a very fiesty stickered GTr.
I got to the M25/M5 junction in 4 hours and 5 mins with a quarter of a tank left, a closure of the M25 killed my chances. Everybody who made the sunrise went south on the M25
We do try and get a big thing done every year.

The "fridge/freezer" went to WBAC today, happy with the price, and have a build slot for June for the Macan. Hoping for delivery in July, FX.

Ahh I think I’ve upset the Alfisti crew over on the owners club forum.
It’ll be nice not having to worry about the battery every five minutes for a change.
Oh and so far the M is bringing me better mpg than the giulia

Finally bought an MX 5. Maybe now the cool forum kids will like me?
(The old fella in the pic is my FiL - he just likes annoying salespeople.)
I have finally gone electric, tbh I love it. I cannot believe the throttle response, roll-on performance, handling, immediacy and running costs. It is ticking every box for me so far.
Purchased a couple of weeks ago.
I was under pressure to buy a new kitchen.... but you can't drive a kitchen
Cheers guys - I have not added a "my other car's a Mini" sticker....... though the little car got a bit of a makeover during the winter:Group 2 arches , new suspension; uprated braking system; stage 2 1380 cc engine with weber, s/c box and LSD.
After all that it would be a shame not to show it a hillclimb

That mini looks an awful lot of fun!
What sort of power / performance metrics is it doing?

It's going to the rolling road on Thurs for a set up and to diagnose an intermittent fault - aiming for about 200bhp/ton.
Slow compared to my single seater but you get to admire the view on the way up the hill.
Highlight of the weekend was not the class win, but finding that I could still fit into my race suit having not competed for over 4 years. I don't know how it could have shrunk in the wardrobe
I have a Tesla M3P for all other duties, the future is fast but dull.
Before petrol cars expire I thought I'd give one of these a go:
Incredible machine, howling NA 4.0 flat 6
That’s one of the cars I play for on BOTB - Cayman or Boxster 4.0 GTS, they look like a great balance as the 718 chassis was crying out for that straight 6 and the GTS is not far off the full blown GT4, not many around to, add in they look to be worth more once you drive them out the showroom and it’s a winner all round.
Hopefully I’ll win one!!
Just a reflection - though I see what you mean ( and I have written-off an OMS single-seater at that very track when I ran out of talent, so there is precedent )
Got it back from the Rolling Road after swapping the weber on a short manifold for a dellorto on a long manifold - jetted and set up on the RR . Seems to go even better... so I took it for a spin on the road ( without my mobile phone) and of course it broke down again . I was rescued by a passing gent in a genuine AC ( and I thought the mini had torque). Big thanks Richard.
Came back with Stiglet Jr and the tow car only to find that the lead from the coil to the dissie had removed itself - pushed it back in and it fired instantly
Ah the joys of owning a classic !!

After 4 years, bye bye Merc and your outrageous servicing prices and shoddy dealership service, hello electric Mustang! Mach-E AWD ER, not the face melting acceleration of some EVs but just brilliantly linear acceleration is enough for London! A few bits and bobs clearly made to a price, but then again that’s the same in the new C-Class too. Tech all just works, and it’s a lovely place to be and drive in, relaxing when it needs to be, and can still handle a B-road despite the heft!

Caterham Super Sprint, #60 of 60 produced. 660cc of throbbing, three cylinder 95bhp fun!
I bough myself a 1993 Peugeot 205 automatic, with less than 60k on the clock! Complete with a set new bumpers (the old ones have faded) for less than 1000 euros. It's old-lady's grey with grey upholstery. But, it has a tow bar for a bike rack!! The only frivolity is the sticker of a little pug on a back window. I'll keep it.
The guys in the workshop did a (as always) very detailled job checking everything. In short: apart from new plugs and oil, nothing had to be done!! This 30 y/o car is like-new car.
Loved the 205 back in the day. I well recall standing in the street in Hove replacing the alternator in my gf's auto 205, with tools borrowed from a neighbour. On way back to Gatwick a few days later we had to stop at side of motorway and give the fuel filter a good shake to get some fuel flowing.
On subsequent visits I took the train from LGW.
I had three GTis, loved each of them, such fun to drive, gorgeous slick gearbox, and amazing in the twisty stuff.

I have a soft spot for the 205, possibly out of guilt as much as anything. A 205 Lacoste was my first car and I wrote it off within a week of passing my driving test! It would be worth a few quid these days I bet.
I bought a Toyota Yaris 1.5 Tech last September. Just driven 240 miles (fully loaded) to Norfolk and still had over half a tank of petrol! Driven at least another 70 miles touring round and it's just dipped below half a tank.
I'm well pleased with that given today's fuel costs. It's a great car, quiet at speed on the motorway and nice to drive.
