Why on earth would you open this in the G&D? how do you expect people to avoid politics?
No, I don't mean in the head. I mean his face. It's become very round and puffy. It looks very much like he's being treated with steroids.
Has he got cancer, by any chance?
I see that some say steroids, some say botox injections. Doesn't look like botox to me.

Well, he is 71 now, and has been a close friend of Berlusconi. Berlusconi’s knowledge of cosmetic surgeons is only equalled by his passion for young women - must be at least 60 years younger than him.
I think Putin had a few lines filled in his face.

Maybe constipated. Should try prunes.
Possibly, probably, actually definitely. But only by the usual suspects who will drag their politics into it by default because they cannot help themselves. We should be able to discuss world events without bear pit agenda's ruling the roost.
And yes, Pootin should definitely try some prunes ;)
I read an article last night from an American senator who said something was up with Putin, but wasn't allowed to elaborate so potentially.

Are you saying that the participants of this forum are poorly self-disciplined, immature nitwits who can't tell the difference between health and politics?
Well yes, you do have a point. ;-)
But hey, I'm still curious to know more about what may be wrong with him. I asked here precisely because all current news articles I could see about Putin's health seem to have been written in the context of the war in Ukraine or its build up. I was hoping, yes perhaps foolishly, for any sources that were not so politicised. Hence my choice of a fundamentally non-political subforum.
I guess TZ-UK is not the place to come for intelligent discussion.

There have been rumours he has Parkinsons. Obviously just rumours and unlikely anyone on here knows his personal physician
How wonderfully naive.

I’d guess that his neurotic isolation during Covid indicates that there is some health issue that puts him in a risk group. Cancer would do that as we know.
Here's an article from 2020 from that bastion of top journalism The Sun

Other stuff on Google as well.
When I saw him on TV last week my first two thoughts were surgery or illness. The latter was my gut and seemed like a plausible link to someone acting wrecklessly.

I'd say that his face has become significantly puffier and rounder in that time, ostensibly suggesting increased and/or ongoing doses of steroids (which I am aware may be given alongside chemo or other treatments).
However, we're working on very limited information and guesswork: It might not be cancer. I am sure he has some sort of physical health issue but the other one people seem to be talking about is Parkinsons, and I think that that would fit, including timeframes.
If hes on track to pop his clogs anytime soon then that might be even more worrying.
I said this to a few friends and family.
"What if his Doctor has said he has terminal cancer"
He wouldn't care much about his health or......?.
When I saw him recently I couldn't help but think of..
Is he related to Ras Putin?
Perhaps he will be embalmed and displayed like Lenin?
He might be crackers, but I’d be happy to be in that shape at 70.
I doubt even Vlad would have started this type of thread in the G&D.
Any relations (health-wise) with asymmetric way he moves his arms when he walks?
Has ‘always’ walked like this, known as gunslinger’s gait.
https://www.bmj.com/content/351/bmj.h6141
Conclusions We propose that this new gait pattern, which we term “gunslinger’s gait,” may result from a behavioural adaptation, possibly triggered by KGB or other forms of weapons training where trainees are taught to keep their right hand close to the chest while walking, allowing them to quickly draw a gun when faced with a foe. This should be included in the differential diagnosis of a unilaterally reduced arm swing.
I'm assuming with that walking style he's just keeping the movement in his watch wound

Malignant NPD is both fascinating and deeply concerning, I have experience of it and hence spent way too much time over thecyears trying to understand it fully to give me a better grasp.
This gent is excellent at defining the behaviours of Malignant Narcissist with a sprinkling of psychopathy..
If you get bored start at 11.00 ish but this explanation sprung to mind when i think of Vlad.
More and more he reminds me of Napoleon. I think it will end for Putin, like him also.
