Sorry. That order will be canceled because official sale has begun at 1500. :D

So that's an unofficial order and it will NOT be accepted.

    Mike, don't depress me mate :( !!

As far as I am concerned, the site signalled the official starting gun when it stopped saying closed and took me to the purchase page

That will be interesting, I would have thought if you have an order confirmation then Eddie or his brother may just call you to confirm payment details.

    Good luck anyway

Absolutely STEAMING angry!

I clicked 'Add to basket' within TWO seconds of the site coming on line and it just clicked to this page. I tried continuously for the next 15 minutes just getting the same.

Did you refresh the page each time? If not I'm afraid you were wasting your time.

It sounds like you were seeing a page cached on your PC. Did you hit F5 to force a refresh ?

I set my watch - a quartz Luminox - at timeanddate.com before I left for work this evening. By my reckoning the site really did become active at exactly 1500hrs UK time, midnight in Sydney. That's when I clicked it, having clicked only about 15s before that.

I'm a very lucky watch nerd.

    Hi Pete and Chris,
Yes I did, refreshed each time, clicked add to basket each time, each time the 'next page' was as per posted screenshot. I can handle missing out if I was beaten in the race but missing out this way simply sucks to the skies! I even tried to buy some Polywatch and THAT took me through to the next page ok and then ADD the SB3 on but that did not work either, just took me back to the posted screenshot. Well done to the guys who got one anyway.

Ok guys, it seems it was some computer 'glitch' on my side. I have clambered out of the pram, picked up the rattle and climbed back in now, so sorry for 'gobbing off'

    Hi Everyone!

This is my first post here. I have been reading the forum for quite some time now and I am one of the happy owners of the Speedbird III. :bounce:
Thank you Eddie to make this watch available to purchase, you really made my day! :)

    Cheers,

    Susanna

Ps. I am also wondering: who was the first one?

Congrats! Eddie usually keeps number 1, I think. Let's see who gets the rest!

Re: I think the dial is OK now

Yes, a lady. :) The watch is for my husband of course and he was so nervous if we could get in the first 50 that we both sat in front of the laptops from 3 pm and pushed the refresh button in every 20 seconds. :) Eddie said he will be shipping the watches on Wednesday, so there is a good chance we receive it this Friday. Can't wait.

If he ships on Wednesday you may well have it on Thursday :)

Maybe, but UPS usually takes 2 days from the UK. It would depend on the time Eddie sends the watches out.

    First of all, welcome!

So... you sat there with your husband, and you helped him buy a watch. I understand.

Just out of curiosity: How much would you happen to charge for your sister's phone number?

:D God, you made me laugh! :D
Usually I buy all the watches and knives etc. for him. I don't know why other wifes got rolling eyes when the husbands buy something for themselves that makes them happy. Maybe because I love all these things too? :)

That's a turnover of approx £277K per hour, or £4.5K a minute

The project has been a while coming to fruition of course

Congratulations to Eddie for having a copper bottomed success on his hands

Makes JK Rowling's £5 per minute seem paltry... ;)

Had to switch from the extra-secure set up of my FireFox and start IE.

    Hi Susanna, welcome !

You are a very understanding wife, your husband is a lucky man. I hope he enjoys the watch :)

I on the other hand will have to pretend its an old watch that I haven't worn in ages

Oh well. It does seem that every good thing I want happens on a Saturday which is always pre-booked for family stuff. Missed it. Now I'll wait for the wrist shots next week.

Re: I think the dial is OK now

Hello and welcome Susanna! Can I say what a lucky man your husband must be! Seriously, I think it's good to see new names on the forum and being enthusiastic about Timefactors watches. It's a good thing that everyone got a fair crack at getting the SBIII - democratic rather than a waiting list.

It's amusing to see the stories on this and other threads about what members had to do to get the chance to order, usually involving avoiding the attention of the wife or going shopping. My strategy was high risk but it paid off. I gently persuaded the wife that the PRS14 she bought me last week to keep for my anniversary present would be a better watch to wear now, while the SBIII would be more of an extra special anniversary present. She was seduced by its beauty and went for it. So, we planned our Saturday activities around a critical 3pm appointment with a computer and a credit card.

So, for now, enjoying the PRS14 and looking forward to my anniversary (only 8 months away)!

Re: I think the dial is OK now

Hi Everyone and thanks again for the warm welcome!

I was using internet explorer when purchasing the watch, I have Firefox as well but I never ordered anything on it so I thought the explorer will be the safe thing to go with. I was just praying that Vista won't froze for that 1 minute I could get the order done. :) I even memorized my credit card number so I don't even have to look when ordering and my husband stood behind me and checked everything while I was typing so it was a good team-work that payed off very well. :) We will make some pics and load them up once the watch arrives.

    Greetings from sunny Vienna,

    Susanna
