Thread: Too Orange??

    Too Orange??

Tried my newly arrived Orange Sumo on one of Eddies orange rubber straps this morning.

Any opinions? At first I was not at all sure about it. An now after a few hours I'm still not sure but leaning towards liking it. But perhaps not for formal occasions ;)

Wish I'd bought the 22mm one though, judging by the pliability of the 20mm one I'm sure it would squeeze in without needing to be notched.

Don't forget the bezel insert ;)

To be fair, it was a (very) cheap experiment. Seems like if ever I was going to fit an orange strap to anything this'd be the one!

I really didn't think the standard seiko black rubber strap was anything too great, may have to take the SKX007 off the 22mm black version of this strap and try that on the Sumo.

Up till this morning I had it on a brushed 20mm watchadoo dive bracelet (I think this is the bracelet I've seen nicknamed a 'lumpy' elsewhere on this forum?) which I thought suited it very well, and was definitely more 'go anywhere' than the Tango option!

Perhaps it would be a nice understated combo for David Dickinson ;)

Yes, it's too orange but it looks nice somehow. Good combo IMO.

Too orange I think. I tried the same strap on my OM and got the same result. On the plus side you won't get run over during the dark winter nights.

It's like, how much more orange could it be? And the answer is none. None more orange.

    :) :)

    What's wrong with being sexy?

And..........This one goes up to twelve (two louder?!?!)

Cheers for all the feedback guys. I always knew something this loud would divide opinion but was curious about the split. Seems about 50 : 50 so far.

Which pretty much matches how I feel about it. I'm glad I've got the option to go full orange, but not as glad as I am that that isn't the only option available if you see what I mean. .....

As you said not for 'formal' wear & not subtle - But the big black bezel just breaks up the orangeyness enough for this to work imho ... Paul

Too orange for me. IMO a different coloured strap would tone it down. But if you want attention............

Not at all! If I ever have to buy or wear a suit that would be the watch & strap combo for me. I've one of those straps on my Tuna Can, adds a nice touch of colour ..

A great combo to wear to sporting events if you barrack ("root") for Holland, or to a baseball game in Baltimore.
