So many memorable fights he had. Overused word legend but it is appropriate for Marvin. RIP
66, sudden death. That’s no age.

Bloody hell. Two big names in the sporting world gone on the same day. And you are right, 66 is no age at all.
R.I.P Marvin.
Definitely one of the best Middleweights of all time!!!
R.I.P Champ!!!!

Can’t believe this news, my favourite boxer of all time gone at the age of 66, no age at all.
From smashing Alan Minter to the best fight of all time (Hagler v Hearns) then facing Magabi who at the time was 25-0 with 25 ko’s and for me the most disgusting controversial result in boxing when he lost to Leonard.
A true legend of the ring in my eyes, really am sick at this news.
RIP Marvellous, my love of boxing is all down to you...

RIP Marvelous Marvin Hagler.
I was a big fan of Tony Sibson; gutted when he lost to Hagler.

The greatest fight of all time, 30 plus punches in first 15 secs, Hearns hurting Hagler, Hagler switching stance’s, Hagler getting cut bad and it nearly being stopped right through to Tommy getting stopped...
The greatest era and fighters ever for me, anyone who hasn’t already should read a book called The Four Kings, all about these guys...
They all fought each other and when these guys did fight the world generally stopped...

I had the privilege of standing about 3 feet away from when I was in Vegas for a big fight, whilst most people were trying to get pictures I was just dumbstruck, he had such an aura.
RIP.
Ive just had an email from a very good friend in the states who i met on a cruise holiday years ago, we were seated at the same table with our partners, we instantly got talking about sports and boxing and the pair of us said Hagler was our number 1, so much so they came to our wedding years later, he like me was a huge Hagler fan...

That would of been amazing, always something you’ll always remember, such an iconic venue- Same here big boxing fan, never watched anything at Caesars unfortunately. When in Vegas has just MGM grand garden, small venue but awesome atmosphere, i was lucky to get seats very close to the ring for the Hatton Vs Mayweather and Pacquiao fights, Mayweather fight was the best atmosphere i have ever experienced, whatever the sport.
TBF to Hagler he took ages posing for pictures and talking to fans, you could see he wasn’t loving the attention but was just happy talk boxing- To this day I’m gutted that I didn’t get a picture with him, I’m not one of those ‘grab someone for selfie’ people.

Can remember watching him back in the day. One of the greats in that era.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Hagler is one of the few fighters teddy atlas calls great and he really was. Probably the best middle weight of all time
A true great undisputed champ, fought all comers unlike fighters of today. RIP
From a great time in boxing. He survived a career in the ring at a time of great champions and did it in style. RIP
RIP Marvelous one.
