Always fancied one but never got around to it. Always liked the ‘Sailor Jerry’ primitive styles.
Yes, it's that time again
These are the two I have...
And the new one will be based on this (on the inner forearm)
Looking forward to it, although I'm struggling to get an early appointment with my tattooist (who seems to be booked up for the next few weeks). Given that I'm scared of having an injection and these things hurt like f*ck, it's a strangely compulsive habit.

Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Tony . Check out Holy trinity tattoo on FB. I wish I was a late visitor to tattoos with all the tech thats around now and the talented Eastern euros.
Molosch is another one hes just not right in the head.
I've a massive dragon all down one side and when that was being powerlined I nearly passed out and I've a pretty high tolerance to pain

The good news is having spent over 100 hours in the chair it gets worse every time, you become needle shy but keep going back.
Nice designs.
One of this years gap fillers

A strangely compulsive habit indeed... much like watches and motorcycles!
I’ve had plenty of all three!
Look forward to seeing the finished article Tony, it’s good to see the tattoo artists back working again and getting bookings, I know it has been a tough time for them all.
Ribs. Stomach, Inner arm and collarbone are all a bit nippy :-)

Good luck guys and gals with your body choices but not for me i never wanted one and i do not find them attractive on members of the opposite sex in fact quite the reverse.
I FEEL LIKE I'M DIAGONALLY PARKED IN A PARALLEL UNIVERSE
My LUDO/LLANDUDNO tattoo hurt a bit.
F.T.F.A.
Out of interest: why? To commemorate a significant event? Mid-late life crisis?
The first two seem rather morbid to me - the decomposing leaf continues the theme, but seems a little brighter. They probably fit in well with the biker image though. All my tuppence worth, as someone who doesn't "get" tattoos - which means bugger all to anyone but me obviously.
As long as you enjoy it, that's all that matters. Hope it turns out well, even nicer than you envisage.

Tramp stamp i have a mate who thinks his 65 yr old North London “ princess ” would look good with one, well it takes all sorts.

Wish i could cut my one off my arm lol.
Apparently purple is hard to laser off and would leave a shaddow.
Mine are archetypal 70's tatoos, a skull, and a heart with dagger and scrolls. Do I regret them? No, not really. Would I have them again if I restarted life, probably not, my pain threshold is too low. Two interesting incidents were when I was in Morocco many years ago and I noticed the locals looking at me, but more than the normal amount of interest in a tourist. One eventually told me that it was because of the tattoos on my forearms, and that tattoos were only worn by prisoners there. The second time was talking to a relative of my other half, and she said that I didn't seem the type to have tattoos. Having had a middle class upbringing she was probably only used to seeing them on the working class, but that is what I am. I didn't question her as I thought that she might end up embarassed, as though I would see it as judgemental. Would I have another tattoo? I have always fancied a 3D spider, but I have come to the conclusion that tattoos are (for me) a bit like vanity plates, fashion and not really necessary. Having said that, I think that the artwork has really moved into a completely different league from when mine were done, and I often find myself appreciating the artwork involved. I can also feel the pain that inkwork must cause.
IME People who have tattoos rarely leave it one. It becomes an addiction.
I think the needle must give some an endorphin release - or possibly some underlying enjoyable masochism?
I prefer to just get caned by a severe mistress.
Cheers,
Neil.
I asked a guy in Caithness, what his tattoo was meant to be?
"It's tribal".
"What? The MacKay tribe from Bettyhill?"
Nope - not for me, ta.
Ironic that blokes who can't stick with a watch for more than a few months commit to tattoos they'll have for ever.
Never thought about having one when I was young, but more appealing now I've got less time to regret it. However it would have to be something meaningful to me rather than just an image I currently like, and I can't think of anything. Maybe one day.
This
I had my first at 40 years of age when I lost my dog as I always joked she’d live forever that way. Don’t have a pic on my phone but it’s in the dog thread.
Found it very therapeutic but helps that the tattooist was very personable and we’ve become friends. I understand some artists put their earphones in and barely talk whereas we chatted entire time and 6 hours or so flew by.
Had a few more since and this is the latest and was pretty painful. I appreciate not everyone’s cup of tea but they are addictive.
Must say I do like a tattoo or two on the ladies but not plastered head to toe lol

Better un inked imho but there we are.
I have just one tattoo....
Not to everyone’s taste, I’m sure, but I’ve never regretted it.
However, I’ve not felt the need for anymore, but never say never.
Foggy

Currently got 9, mainly skulls, grim reaper, zombies, gargoyle etc.
Not had a new one in ages, but this thread has got me thinking...
Birthday in a few days, wonder what I should ask for???

I like that Tony.
I squeezed two in just as everything was turning weird and I've got two booked in for next month. Looking forward to them.. at the moment.
I’ve always fancied one but have been put off seeing how badly they age on older skin. I’ve seen loads working in anaesthetics and have come to the conclusion that I am now in the minority in not having one.
I’m having my second one on Thursday, a cherry blossom on my left inside forearm. My first was a butterfly on my right outside calf over 20 years ago.
I seem to remember it hurt less than having my ears pierced but obviously lasted a lot longer! Think I am dreading it.
Absolutely not for me whatsoever but I have to respect that others think differently.
