Been a good year. New job, new challenges.
Enjoying this nice dial today. Happy New Year to everyone!
2018 has not been a good year for me as my mom has some health issues plus some undesired personnel changes in the work place..while still managed to buy few watches.
Just wish that 2018 to go ASAP.

I’ll wear my Tudor gmt today - so I known when it’s new year for my foreign relations . Been a good year-lot less buying and selling. Acquired a couple of (for me) grails, and not got any big purchases planned

Major health scare in March put things in to perspective.
Bought wife a Rolex which I had been promising her for a while.
Sat in sun in Malaga and can't wait to get rid of 2018.
Been wearing my Omega 'Big Yellow' for a couple of days.
Ignore the date, it's a fiddle to set and who cares what day it is if you're not working :)
As a year, it's been OK.
Started off with a short trip to St Petersburg with my wife and then to Venice with my son.
I got made redundant in March (knew about it in December 2017, so no surprise and a fair pay off, so no real problem), I took a month off, diving in the Maldives for 10 days, and then started doing more or less the same job for a partner of my former employer on a contract basis (A bit less money, but I can set my own hours, so it's quite nice in some respects) - I may look to do something different this year though.
I managed to get a fair bit of UK diving done this year, helped by my more flexible hours, and then had an enjoyable week touring the historical sites of Andalucia in early October.
Touch wood, everyone is healthy at the moment and we rounded out the year with the news of our Daughter's engagement, so, all in all, a pretty decent year.

Breitling Cosmonaute 809 - What's not to like?
Close families health not so good - hopefully 2019 a better year!
Wearing this today
Probably the 5711 this evening to a BBQ
Happy New Year everybody!
Wearing my Rio today to see the bells in.
Been a decent year for us. Eldest lad has bedded in well to Uni life. Youngest lad got accepted for the course he wants at Uni for 2019 so that's been a relief, and he also got signed by a Scottish Championship club for their u18s squad.
I also started a 2nd job as Lead Academy Goalkeeper Coach for the club I've supported since I was a lad. Been working with the club for 3yrs as a scout, but much prefer spending my time on the training ground.
More of the same for 2019 hopefully!
GMT to sign off 2018.

Been a good year on balance: 7 in (Zenith, Dornblüth, Meistersinger, Nomos, Moser, Moritz Grossmann), 2 out (Stowa, Cartier).
Great all rounder if you want some rose.
HNY all.
Wearing this at the moment as just knocking around the house feeling rough with a streaming cold...
Will switch to my latest acquisition later as a fitting way to end the year...
2018 has been the ultimate rollercoaster for us...
My daughter found out her unborn son had a hole in the heart, but then had a pretty much healthy birth and the hole has just closed. I found out I had prostrate cancer, then had treatment and have now had the all-clear. Business has been tough but looks more promising for next year...
On balance I would prefer a less eventful 2019!
Happy New Year everyone.
Simon
Really liking Snowman's Big Yellow
Wearing this on its new strap today as my latest purchase is stuck in a depot somewhere

2018 has been above average (never thought I'd end the year collecting watches!) at least I have had a tad more spare time as there has been less work to do on the house. We'll see what next year has in store.
Happy New Year everyone.
Will
2018 been ok to good, looking forward to 2019. Happy New Year all!
A bit of a mixed bag this year but all in all 2018 has been a good year... the biggest impact on my watch wearing habits was starting my own business, this leaves a lot less time for wearing my more expensive watches but that has been a small price to pay...
This for me today
Happy New Year All

I'm wearing my X-33 Skywalker Solar Impulse - MT is set to midnight tonight so I can see exactly how many days / hours / minutes / seconds before bringing in the new year. Couple of PET alarms set so cocktails can be made in good time.
Looking forward to next year - as I will be throwing off the shackles of corporate employment at last - and with nearly 25 years with the same company it will be a relief. There is only so much one can take. I am looking forward to the third stage of life!

HNY everybody!!

Wearing this today. 2018 has been a good year as I secured an Australian visa and am now planning my move down under. Plus I treated myself to my first Rolex.
A very mixed year for us.
Started really well with a fabulous family holiday to Australia. We got our first dog as a puppy in March & she's lovely - she's been a big comfort during some tough times this year. In late March our daughter returned early (and unannounced) from her travels which was great. Then my Mum got really ill & was diagnosed (late) with inoperable cancer. We were initially told we'd have a year with her, but she only lasted a few weeks. She was only 71. Dad passed away in 2000 when only 57, so there have a number of firsts this year without either of my parents around. My wife's side of the family have had a number of drama's and other health scares too. The trip to Vietnam, touring the country on off road motorbikes with my eldest Son was amazing. I've had a frustrating year professionally, supporting on, rather than leading a large project, but my tenure is up on that scheme now. On balance I'm hoping for a better year in 2019.
Wishing everyone health & happiness in the coming year.
Andy
Wanted - Damasko DC57
2018 ends as it started, with an incoming. Back on 2 Jan the year kicked off with a White Dial Ceramic Daytona. However after reassessing life's priorities I decided that a new bathroom and the entire house being triple glazed was more important than the latest must have, so it went as quick as it came.
That has effectively killed my days of messing around with expensive watches, which is great and something that I am very comfortable with. The year ends today with my latest arrival, which is something that I have hunting down for a couple of months now.
Aiming for a much quieter 2019 on the watch front.
A very happy New Year to everyone.
