Thread: Rolex Explorer II - On a Rubber Strap - Anyone Got any Pictures?

Rolex Explorer II - On a Rubber Strap - Anyone Got any Pictures?

I bought an Explorer II in 2002 on an Oyster Bracelet.

Serviced in 2012 but not worn since, despite being one of my favourite Rolex models.

Anyway, think of wearing it as my daily, but on a more practical rubber strap. Be helpful to see what it might look like in various options and colours.

    thanks

They look daft, especially coloured ones. Save your cash and keep it on the Oyster bracelet and don’t worry about it.

This is mine on the cheapie Rubber B copy from Cousins. I quite like it but have put it back on the original bracelet.

I put mine on a rubber strap a couple of times. It’s back on it’s bracelet, where it will stay.

The point I don’t get, is having a “favourite model Rolex” and not wearing it for 6 years?

I reckon it’s an ideal daily wear on a bracelet.

    Tried mine on an Everest:

It's back on the bracelet now.

on Borealis strap. If I have to be honest, this particular strap is too thick for this watch.

Although I almost always would say wear a rolex on a bracelet, the Exp2, IMHO, quite suits a NATO strap. I have worn mine on orange or black, and indeed orange and black stripes. Very comfy for the summer.

Bit of a search and found these, from RubberB and Everest

    Much difference in quality?

Use Nato's so much variation at a reasonable cost

On watch-related issues, I mostly agree with you.

The Explorer or Explorer II just weren't made for rubber. I could be pushed to a NATO on a 1016 or a 16570, but really, it's bracelet or bust on these.
