I think this question has been asked already, but couldn't see it answered.
Is Eddie sending out e-mails confirming dispatch?
Okay just received mine and I have a question to ask, should the second hand hit the markers, on mine it misses them and I don’t know enough so asking on here

If you reset the time, it will probably change but I recommend you read this.

Eddie
Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
Hi
Ooh both are keepers, glad you have one with #67 :-)
It the black kevlar strap for the X-33, believe this is the number 98000069L, not cheap.

PS.
It's built like a little mini-battleship...
But turning the bezel is like operating a tank, it's very rough / crunchy.
(esp. as I turn the pip round the right-hand-side half)
You guys?

Having had the PRS-18Q on my wrist all day the second had does seem to drift in and out of snyc with the second markers. Have just reset the time and it is now just over hitting the markers.
However this is irrelevant.
The watch is, to my mind, perfect.
Styling, size, simplicity and proportion are exactly right.
Nice one Eddie,
How's your bezel action?
For me turning the bezel is like operating a tank, it's very rough / crunchy.
(esp. as I turn the pip round the right-hand-side half)
I'm just trying to knock together a video...
Thanks
I agree it is quite stiff but in my case there is no difference between either left or right side.
Personally it's not a problem and certainly better than the bezel on my '83 16750 which spins like a top.
It will certainly suffice for my needs.
Perhaps use will loosen it a little?
Bezel action, a bit stiff? You poor weak thing, you! At least you have your flaming watch in Canada!!! What is this Eddie chap doing, ordered mine and acknowledged at 08.06hrs on the 6th, live in spitting distance, but ordered with Donkey Express next week delivery.
Luckily I know he has a life, so all you impatient, inept WIS can go sit on a watch winder and work it out like a grown up.
No really, can't wait to handle mine[woo err missis], but in the real world ,after too much wine, and 17 guests for Mothers Day, looking forward to the "dispatched" email, you lucky, lucky, b...
Nigel
LOL, well OK some more detail on what is happening....
Turning the bezel from 12 to 6, it's stiff but acceptable.
Clack-clack-clack
But turning the bezel from 6 back to 12 though, it goes crazy...
it sounds like:
clack/clack - clack/clack - clack/clack
You can visibily see the whole bezel go off center, and back again
clack (out of center) / clack (back to center) - <repeat>
If you turn a 120-click dive bezel full turn, you get ... 120 clicks.
But this one, feels like I am grinding the crap out of it between 6 and 12.
PRS-18Q COSC - Jumping Bezel
https://youtu.be/w1x0rpMd5eA
- watch the 20 on the bezel as it moves past 9 o'clock
Below is a comparison video of some recent dive watches.
I didn't capture what is happening with the COSC as well in that one vs. the video above.
It's more the SOUND and the EFFORT that is hopefully evident compared to the others.
If you could feel and hear it in person, it's one of those "That's not right?!..." things.
Battle of the Bezels

I'll be interested in what people suggest and probably follow-up with Eddie next week and see what he thinks.
I googled but didn't find much on this topic, and not about to start fettling with it.
cheers

Glad you saw the funny side!
Scanned through UPS in Cologne about 12 hours ago.
Still a long way to go. Should be seeing it mid next week.
👍
Thanks Eddie!

I would have spoken to a supplier first to resolve any concerns I had about their product and only if I couldn’t resolve the problem would I then even consider making a public statement about it.

Ignorance breeds Fear. Fear breeds Hatred. Hatred breeds Ignorance. Break the chain.
Pop the bezel off and flatten the bezel spring a bit.
# 32 arrived this morning hits the markers and perfect bezel action. Truly great watch at a bargain price - well done Eddie :0)

This is the first time I've waited for a watch being made. Was well worth it in the end and such a buzz getting it after the long wait.
Big thanks to Eddie for bringing another awesome watch together at such a great price.
The white balance must be off on my phone cam because the lume isn't that creamy at all.

Well I appreciate your point of view Ralphy. That said, I don't think it is unreasonable when X people are buying a product, if one or more of them perceive some sort of issue with it, to ask for confirmation from the other buyers whether this is normal / typical or not. It started with me thinking "Hey this feels a little rough" and over the course of about 2 hours moved to ... "Ok I think there is a problem". I suppose if I had mentally jumped straight to the second position, then maybe I would have taken a different approach. I hadn't noticed the jumping right away, only the rough feel.
Furthermore I know that Eddie's store is closed, and that he is taking some time off. Furthermore it's the weekend and he is shipping 18 watches a day.
Given those circumstances it particularly did not seem unreasonable to check with you guys first before bothering him.
I guess you didn't notice that both videos are unlisted ?
Go ahead, try and find them without the direct URLs posted only here.
see the little unlisted flag?
I don't have a Youtube channel and if I did I'm not exactly Logan Paul so its not like the world is watching.
It seemed the most reasonable way to share my issue with you guys.
I am not aware of any way to post a Video directly to TZ_UK...
If you scroll back, you will note that the response I got to my issues was "Are you weak" (which I am sure was in jest).
It seemed necessary to produce some material showing the actual issue so people don't think it is in my head.
I made the second comparison video just to show that this isn't my first dive watch, and that I do know what a bezel should feel and sound like. Hopefully people were familiar with one or more of those and could hear the difference.
Thank you James, your post gave me some idea what could be wrong, because frankly I had no idea...
I will follow up with Eddie before touching the watch.
Hopefully this is just a one-off. It happens.
cheers

Thank you for your reply, its appreciated.
Though as it's such a new release it begs the question, who did?
"Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action."
'Populism, the last refuge of a Tory scoundrel'.
Listening to the video, it does sound like either a spring problem, or something has got under the bezel.
should be an easy fix either way.
mike
Received mine today, initially dismayed to see what looked like 3 scratches on the lug, only to find out they were greasy marks now cleaned off.
There's a little (half a click) back play in the bezel action, so not as rock solid as the PRS 18a that it's replaced, but still overall very pleased with the purchase and I think a great value quartz grab-n -go.
I've also bought from Eddie a selection of NATO's, so will be trying those on it this afternoon.
I appreciate your reply. I wasn't aware of the 'unlisted' category on YT or that it would hide a search for 'PRS-18Q' and that was what I meant by making a public comment.
I would still say that making videos is unnecessary though, given that an email to Eddie describing the problem would probably be all that you needed to do in order to resolve your concern, but of course it's up to you how you chose to deal with the matter. Either way, I'm sure you will be able to resolve your concerns and then enjoy the watch.

Those are some great pictures. It seems to go really well with a blue strap.

Really? Looks blue to me. You could be right - in the publicity pictures in the other thread, it looked like it was on a blue strap, but maybe that was the grey one as well.
I'm just twiddling my fingers while I wait for mine to arrive.
Regardless of whether the strap in the picture is blue or grey, I think it'll look on a blue one. Will give me something to look for...

Thank you for posting those clips and I'm sure Eddie will provide any additional assistance required. Have you tried turning the bezel under a warm tap just in case something has become trapped under it? That often frees fluff etc. I appreciate it's a new watch but you just never know.
Of more interest to me was seeing whether the seconds hand hits the markers. Taking into account, angles, distortions and so on, yours does seem to be very good, although not quite bang on every time. It is a lot better than my non-COSC 18Q.
It does display an interesting reverse micro-correction after the forward tick at some points. Not seen that before.
"I forget who it was that recommended men for their soul's good to do each day two things they disliked ... it is a precept that I have followed scrupulously; for every day I have got up and I have gone to bed."
Is the bead blasted finish different on these? It looks a bit darker, more matt finish in the pictures than my non COSC 18Q?
