Anyone see the combined skiing? Marcel Hirscher is such a legend, makes everyone else look like amateurs.

Explains how he's so fast on the flats, then
He is an amazing skiier, but as with Shiffrin in the Women's (and Vonn in the past), too much dominance isn't good for any sport.
Anyway, GB are winning the Slalom Gold, so Hirscher will need that Combined one
I can dream!

And................another gold!
Madness.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
Shaun Whites pipe run was epic.
Yep I'll be keeping everything crossed for Dave the Rocket Ryding on Thursday 22nd in the Men's slalom, I'd so love to see Dave win a medal, on his best form he's one of the only athletes capable of mixing it with Hirscher. Kristofferson is good too, but I like to watch him get beaten and throw his toys out the pram!
Come on team GB!
I’m watching the men’s doubles luge.
It’s fat blokes sledging !!
One team has a combined weight of 195kg
Surely the bigger you are the greater gravitational advantage...
Watching the Curling while eating my poached eggs this morning! GB did well.
BAM! Another gold medal!
Tonight the skeleton tournament. Watch Akwasi Krimpong, Ghana. He has a Dutch passport as well but the Dutch Olympic committee wouldn't endorse his plan to become the first Dutch athlete on the skeleton piste. So he went to the US, found a place to train in the Rocky Mountains with a US coach and is now, on his own, Team Ghana.
His chances for a medal are very, very small. But like Eddy the Eagle in days past, Akwasi deserves our respect!

Anyone else watching the halfpipe on BBC2, it's unbelievable
What the heck happened to Kramer????
Technically still a Dutch gold medal though, right?
TJ has a Canadian dad and a Dutch mom. He used to skate for Holland but got fed up with the rigid selection system. He changed colours and the rest is history. What happened with Kramer? No idea at the moment, but stay tuned: this very moment, Kramer tells a reporter that he doesn't feel as good as during the 5K km. We watched him going downstairs twice before the race; not something he normally does. Toilet? He tells the reporter that he wasn't able to skate faster than he did.
The #2: Bergsma is originally an ultra long distance speed skater (100 or 200 km races) and is currently Dutch ultra long distance speed skater champion.

Just watched the Men's Skeleton final runs - absolute nutters! Massive congratulations to both Yun Sungbin and Brit Dom Parsons
And another one: gold. Esmee Visser, 20 y/o. 5k ladies speed skating. Never been outside Europe, never won a big tournament and now a gold medal.
At the same time: the first ever Dutch skeleton dare devil Kimberley Bos finished 8th in the first run. Better than she has ever done before. 3 runs to go.

The regularity with which the Dutch team gets medals in speed skating... a proper clockwork orange

Not really interested but better than footie when I’d rather watch paint dry.

I’ve been laid up in bed with full on man flu for the last two days and it’s been a god send tbh. I wouldn’t normally watch it otherwise. I’m even starting to understand curling.

According to the history on Skeleton on the international website, it appears to be an English invention! So... c'mon boys and girls... Like teamGB did and does when it comes to (track) cycling on the Olympics, it's possible to dominate winter sport for years to come!
As kids we used to use cardboard in the summer. When the grass was dry you could really get some speed up.
The trick was getting stopped before you hit the dry stone wall at the bottom of the hill!

Congrats Izzy Atkins! Only 19? 20? She can be a gold medalist in 2022!
Indeed. When classic alpine skying still requires ‘being born into it’, i.e. coming from countries with proper slopes and snow, slope style can be practiced away from mountains on standard, artificial obstacles which give other countries a much better chance at chasing medals.

Christie is looking solid in the heats, really dominant. I hope a final with the Dutch girls is on the cards!
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
Shite!!! Dutch favorite men out and Christie out on a stretcher, what a madness in shorttrack compared to normal speedskating!

Dutch short track skater Sjinkie is out... Someone noted: 'Given his attitude off-track and on-track, I think his biggest opponent is Sjinkie himself'. That could be true. The urge to win is sooo big...

I hope Christie is not to badly hurt.
Now, Ter Mors, could she?.....
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
No, she couldn’t 😡.

The Korean was sensational.
For me the biggest news was in the Super G. The Czech snowboarder winning the Alpine Super G. Bless she could hardly believe it. Such an unbelievable achievement. Loved the reaction of the Austrian skier who was basically already celebrating, oops!
Gold and bronze for the UK! Those high- tec suits certainly gave them the edge 😎. The Dutch did that with the speedskating suits once....
GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD
And Bronze :-)
Bronze and Gold in the Women's Skeleton! And a track record for Lizzy to boot
Fingers crossed that Christie is OK, no news yet on her scans.
Shock result in the Women's GS too - Same woman could take home a snowboarding medal! (see it's been mentioned now I read back)
Had to feel for the Austrian in the Skeleton though...
